Mini Bike to Check Cows
Been using my mini bike to check cows here lately and it has been a blast! The first calf broke a chunk of its toe off so we are just keeping an eye on it. The second one was JUST born and I was making sure it was still in the shade. The third one is dealing with some sort of illness that is exacerbated by the heat so we are keeping him cool until we can figure out whatever is going on.

Calf IV
My dog Big Sheriff and my daughter watching a calf get an IV. Poor guy is doing pretty terrible in this heat. We aren’t exactly sure what is wrong with him, but whatever it may be is exacerbated by this heat. Hopefully we can get his energy up and get him hydrated enough to survive the rest of this heat wave.

Lumpy Jaw?? Should I worry?? Spoiler
galleryI don't know if this is a normal abnormality that she's had or if it's something I should be worried about. Usually her heads in the feed bunk or hay bale but when I was bringing a bale in yesterday she was staring at me and I noticed she had 2 crooked lower teeth, like they drifted out of alignment. Not saying this is new, I just never noticed it. This morning I took my morning coffee out with the cows to investigate further, now I'm kinda worried because I've been having problem after problem after problem with cows. She's pregnant, scheduled to calve in November. The lump on the lower jaw is hard and immovable
Kinda hard to get pictures but these were the best I could do

Can a cows moo really vibrate the floor/ground?
Hi I’m writing a short story for a class and doing a scene where the characters are in a barn looking at the cows. Unfortunately, I haven’t had the opportunity to visit a farm in real life recently so I’m curious to know if a cow is annoyed and loud, will it moo loud enough the floorboards in a barn vibrate? or you can like feel it with your feet at all? Sorry for the silly question lol TIA

Started slowly as a twin calf, but after 5 years and 3 very healthy calves, she is looking perfect!

I present to you: "Lily" 🐄 !
Ten days ago I made a post asking for your help. I was looking for a lovely cow with a beautiful pattern to use as a model for painting my most recent Holstein woodcarving. 🐄
u/White-Rabbit-333 offered up the gorgeous "Lily" along with some pictures. (Thank you so much 🙏🏻) The majority of comments were positive on Lily and my wife and I decided to choose our favorite as well! 🥰
I want to present to you my artistic interpretation of Lily. I make all kinds of carved and painted pine art at my store: The Witch and the Woodsman. We sell art, heirloom seeds, herbs, and other curiosities. I love making cows and other whimsical creations, but every cow I make it patterned based off of a real one.
Each carving I do is drawn, cut out, carved, hand sanded, gessoed, hand sanded, painted with at least two coats of DecoArt Americana acrylic paint, antiquing processed, sanded, and signed.
I appreciate your support, constructive criticism, and kind words.
Thanks for looking!!!
