I feel it is of utmost importance to remember to respect all our friends’ right to decide what they want to or are able to share, without being pressured and badgered. For any of these situations, for any of our members.
I will NEVER push someone for further information or discussion, I am steadfast in that, nor should anyone else, and I know you guys understand and agree, and remain respectful of people’s wishes and privacy, allowing them to get the rest they need, focus on recovery and getting on the mend. 😊
What IS important is well wishes and support, bringing good cheer, a smile and hopefully some laughs.

Based on the positive response on this post from a few days ago, we're going to try out the monthly birthday and gotcha day recognition posts starting in June. In order to do that though, we do need your help!
There is a super cool form that should only take you a few moments to fill out, which is linked here. No login is required, and we are not collecting email addresses or anything. Section 1 is just an intro and hello. Click Next to access section 2.
Section 2 is for all the fren info, like name and dates. If you live with more than one fren, enter each fren info separately. If you answer yes to the last question, "do you live with other frens?" it'll automatically take you back to the questions where you can enter the name for fren 2, and then repeat for fren 3, 4, 5, etc. Answer no once all frens are entered in to continue to next section.
Final section is for all the boring hooman stuffs, like reddit username, and thoughts about other things to celebrate. Reddit username is not required, but it's helpful so we can tag you in the monthly post.
Once you submit the form, you're all set!

Alas being human means I can never achieve perfection like Teddy teh Floof and LBC (yes, Little Black Cat), so if you come across any issues, please post them here. Don't be shy if you have any general questions about this, post them here as well!
We also ask that we keep this test here in ICBGC for now so we can test it out with a smaller group of frens than what our beloved LCA contains.

KIngsday - birthday of the king of Netherlands (I believe?) - Since orange is the national color, Mochi and the orange crew should just claim it as their day!
Any other national holidays - I agree! It'd be fun to learn about other holidays since we have frens all over the world!
January 1 Skwirl (non) appreciation day - I think we could tie this one in with the capture of Gary LOL
Cats' Rights day - Obviously as voted on by our esteemed overlord council of cats. Every day is technically that, but I'm sure they could be purrsuaded to pick a specific date as the milestone marker.
Steve's birthday - Oscar's beloved Dream Phone boyfriend's birthday!! This is hilarious! Anyone know when his birthday is? How fun would it be if we could track down the actor/model for Steve?
12:45pm (Eastern) update: Close to 20 friends now! Alleviated some challenges thanks to u/Charivari8 mentioning about the multi fren entry not working as expected. Also added a question about otrb (over the rainbow bridge) to remember those who have left us (thank you for the suggestion u/CharmyLah !)
It shouldn't ask you to, but if you're made to sign into Goggle, rest assured that information is not being collected. I verified all the settings to confirm emails addresses are not being tracked or anything, and they're definitely not visible on the responses.

Henlo friens, is me, Nell-a-nor the splinks cat! Mai Big Brother Toby Toebeans is having hims 18th birfday today! I don't even has two birfdays, so hims really really old. Hims so old him can do things that are aleegal for most cats! Him look big dapper in hims gradjatation gown. Him did some big partying too, but I don't have enuf birfdays to go with hims, but now him big tired and we're doing some snoozing!
So the lake vacation was great! A wonderful end to summer. Théo was happy to see me and the dogsitter gave a glowing report. I expect he’ll report his grievances tomorrow, (I may have petted other dogs while I was gone 👀) but right now he’s had dinner and extra treats and seems content.
But when I got back, White Rino was…standing guard? Laying in wait? About to charge? I got a very “you shall not pass!” vibe. What can this mean? Is it a warning? 🤣🤣🤣

I have compiled a video of every bit of the fun I found from our frens’ day out at Dollywood as well as any posts in tribute to Miss Dolly from last week’s Moobie Toosday. Please forgive me if I missed anything. I scoured the posts and comments but it’s certainly possible I may have missed something. I also know that not everyone was able to participate and so this only represents a part of this wonderful community. But I really hope everyone feels seen and included and represented in so many of the other party and Moobie and special day and silly posts that are such a regular part of this sub.
As the Dolly day went on, it just felt more and more like the exact type of day the frens would have, and oh so representative of the heart of this sub and the heart of Dolly Parton. Warm and fun and full of encouragement and joy even though we have had our share of challenges and heartbreaks too. Where better than Dollywood to celebrate the idea of lifting each other up and building community and to honor Miss Dolly’s legacy? This is also why you will find a non-Dolly related Get Well card to SmuffiMomma put in here as well. Biscotti’s mom happened to think to make a big one featuring lots of friends on Dolly Moobie Toosday and it seemed like a very WWDD (What Would Dolly Do?) kind of thing to do so I put it in here as well. Plus, more friends!
In vulnerability, I am in a very hard season of life right now. After spending a good deal of Tuesday enjoying posts and then stickering away and responding to everything I could, I took off and went to a movie with my kids, before I saw all the karaoke comments and posts. When I got home, I had to deal with some really tough stuff and ended up in bed trying to listen to every sad song I could to make myself cry and let everything out. When I woke up, I saw all the adorable karaoke comments and posts and just had such a big smile on my face because this really is the sweetest corner of the internet and you all make magic here. And I switched to finding a way to encourage myself and this Dolly song is one of the best for doing so. And the idea to make this video was born.
I think some more of us might need and be blessed by some encouragement these days as well. I hope this video brings that to you - and that more like this can follow!
