Discussion Who’s been your favorite team in Infinite?

Upvotes

What was your favorite team of four in Infinite? My top three:

1) Pure 2024 (Cherished Druk Taulek LastShot)

2) Optic 2022/2023 (Formal Lucid Trippy APG)

3) SR 2025 (Frosty R2 Cykul LastShot)

Even though my favorite modern Halo player has always been Snakebite and 2023 Faze‘s LB run was the most awesome tournament run I’ve ever seen, I couldn’t help but consider them villains for breaking both my fav teams in 2023/2024 lol.

Discussion PRO LEAGUE Power Rankings (after week 3)

Upvotes

IMO. What would you change?

  1. Shopify - Still the GOAT, but these Sundays are proving they can be beaten.

  2. FOAK - 4 extremely talented players who have been able to soundly gel. Taulek has shown up big time. Team is very consistent and continues to give Shopify their best competition in scrims.

  3. Inconceivable - Keeps improving, team chemistry and togetherness is very apparent. The team has an identity and knows what it wants to do. The dark horse team at LAND.

  4. FaZe - Can't ignore the talent and team potential. One of these Sundays, it's BOUND to click

  5. Merc - Competing better than I thought they would without scriming. Won the last Pro league qualifier and took it to FaZe. Took 2 maps from Shopify over the weekend and looked impressive.

  6. Cloud 9 - Had a tough time against Inc. I still feel they can upset anyone, but had a rough weekend. Could be more of a testament to Inc's improvement, but time will tell.

  7. Incognito - Most surprising performance of the weekend. The dub came out of nowhere, especially with how scrims had been going. Rooting for them to keep the improvement up.

  8. Ascending - Hate putting Ryan here, but the team feels like a rank below the others atm. Always rooting for a Ryan team to figure it out, but they better do so soon..

Just my opinions. Feel free to post yours below!

Video LastShot and Cykul on whether Stellur is an upgrade over Formal

Upvotes

The new FaZe squad is 3/4 of last year's OpTic roster (with Stellur in place of Formal), and people in the Twitch chats have been asking how those two players compare. Here's what the pros say:

Recap

  • LastShot says that individually Stellur is an upgrade over Formal, but that Formal made them a team rather than individuals. He says "Formal had a lot to do with team cohesion. Formal may not be the best individual player in the game, but I'll tip him where it's due, he is a very good team player. He does what has to be done for the team."
  • Cykul says "the way it's turning out right now, I don't know man. It's looking pretty rough." He says FaZe's series against Incognito "wasn't really close, to be honest. It looked like Incognito was in control the whole time."
  • Renegade was asked the same question prior to this weekend and said "We just gotta wait and see. I think Stellur is fucking insane, though. I think Stellur is one of the best individual players in Halo, like period, to be honest. But we just gotta wait and see, you know?"
  • For comparison, last year's OpTic Gaming roster went a perfect 7-0 in series count and had a 28-3 map count in the Pro League online matches. This year they've lost two of their first three matchups and have a 7-10 map count, putting them in sixth place currently (and only the top 6 teams make it to LAN).

Discussion Random Question, but is there a way to pull win percentage per individual ranked/social playlist? Or stats tied specifically to a playlist?

Upvotes

I was looking for a way to separate stats and percentages between Arena, Slayer, Doubles, etc, and even Social playlists if possible.

I’m probably just dumb, but I didn’t see filters on Leaf, Data Hive, SpartanRecord, and so on.

Results Shopify vs Mercenaries Series Results | League Play - Week 3 | LVT Halo Pro League Spoiler

Thumbnail gallery
Upvotes

Shopify have defeated Mercenaries 4-2 to win $1,000 and have now won all three of their Pro League matches so far. They are 3-0 in series count and 12-3 in map count which puts them at second place in the standings just behind Lucid's team Inconceivable (which is 12-1), and one map ahead of Four of a Kind (who are in third at 12-4 map count).

Mercenaries put up a great fight and looked impressive despite losing, especially considering Mercenaries hasn't had a single scrim yet since forming. Although they're in the danger zone at #7 in the standings they had the toughest competition upfront against Four of a Kind, FaZe, and Shopify. The next few weeks have opportunities for them to pick up series and map wins.

Next weeks matchups (Sunday September 13 - League Play Week 4):

  1. FaZe vs Inconceivable (1pm ET / 10am PT / 12pm CT)
  2. Mercenaries vs Ascending Baseline (3pm ET / 12pm PT / 2pm CT)
  3. Shopify vs Incognito (5pm ET / 2pm PT / 4pm CT)
  4. Four of a Kind vs Cloud9 (7pm ET / 4pm PT / 6pm CT)

Results FaZe vs Incognito Series Results | League Play - Week 3 | LVT Halo Pro League Spoiler

Thumbnail gallery
Upvotes

Incognito have defeated FaZe 4-1 in a major upset with Eco getting revenge over the team that dropped him. Incognito win $1,000 and get their first Pro League victory. This was a great bounce back for Incognito and a very bad loss for FaZe.

Incognito are now 1-2 series count and 5-9 map count, putting them in fifth place. Their teamwork was on point today with Acid getting the most kills (106), Descendant dealing the most damage, and Eco having the most assists. They outslayed FaZe by 39 kills.

FaZe have now dropped to 6th place with a 1-2 series count and 7-10 map count which is not a great place to be (only the top 6 teams qualify for the LAN). FaZe's next matchups are against Inconceivable (Lucid's team), Four of a Kind, Ascending Baseline, and Shopify, so they're in a troublesome spot right now with their toughest matches yet to come.

The next matchup today is Inconceivable (Lucid's team) vs Cloud9 which will be a good one.

Map Picks and Bans

Thug Nasty (Incognito coach) and Bound/Stellur (FaZe players) did the picks and bans

  • FaZe being higher seed chose Team A (gets to select first OBJ gametype), Stellur picked Oddball
  • Map 1 Incognito bans Live Fire Ball, FaZe picks Lattice Ball, Incognito pick Eagle side
  • Map 3 Incognito picks Strongholds gametype, coin flip determines Live Fire Strongholds, FaZe picks Cobra side.
  • Map 4 FaZe chooses KOTH gametype, Incognito bans Live Fire KOTH, FaZe picks Lattice KOTH. Incognito pick Cobra side.
  • Map 6 Incognito picks CTF, FaZe bans Pit CTF, Incognito picks Aqua CTF, FaZe picks Eagle side
  • Slayers: FaZe bans Recharge Slayer, Incognito bans Streets Slayer (leaving three maps available: Live Fire, Solitude, Origin)
    • Map 2 Incognito picks Live Fire Slayer, FaZe picked Cobra side
    • Map 5 FaZe picks Solitude Slayer, Incognito picked Cobra side

Four of a Kind have defeated Ascending Baseline 4-1 to win $1,000 and improve their Pro League standing to a perfect 3-0 series count and 12-4 map count. Taulek was the MVP of this series with the most kills, least deaths, highest damage, most assists, most oddball time, and a 1.52K/D.

Ascending Baseline picked up their first map win in the Pro League with a 250-186 victory on Recharge Strongholds. They remain in the danger zone though, as the bottom two teams at the end of league play will not qualify for the LAN. Everyone predicted this going in, AB are the underdog team of the Pro League. The next few matchups are going to be crucial for AB.

The next matchup today is FaZe vs Incognito, so we get Stellur vs Eco.

Video Renegade says he wants to team with RyaNoob for a Halo tournament some day

Upvotes

Renegade says RyaNoob is "underrated as fuck" and praises Ryan for finding a way "to be in contention every year, with every team." Renegade says he wants to team with RyaNoob for one Halo tournament some day, even if it's a smaller one. Renegade then tells his teammate Legend that he wouldn't be able to win a $2's chall against the Renegade x RyaNoob duo.

Second clip is FaZe Kaysan praising RyaNoob, which got Bound a little jealous after just winning a scrim against Ryan.

Help LT or Right Stick Aim?

Upvotes

For some context, I wasn't allowed to play online shooters growing up, so Halo Infinite is the first Halo where I've played multiplayer. So for the last 4 years I've been using LT aim in Halo just because LT is how you aim in other shooters so it was familiar. My friends, however, have been playing Halo their whole lives and have started hosting frequent system link Halo 3 LAN parties. Since I've been using LT aim for the last 4 years, sniping with right stick is very weird for me. I was wondering if maybe it'd be a good idea to swap to right stick aim so I can snipe better at LAN parties or if I should just deal with having a hard time sniping every-so-often. I'm asking because it seems like people know more about LT vs. Right Stick aim than I do.

HCS Competitive 2v2 games

Upvotes

Where can I find Halo CE competitive games? Say, 2V2 Slayer Pro on HEH, Damny, Chill Out, etc

Or some good 4v4 CTF on BG or BC

The only playlist I find games on I’m MCC is Social 4v4. I find 4v4 games with no communication between teammates to be quite frustrating. So I’d like to find some competitive or quasi competitive players who’d like to arrange some custom games or otherwise LAN (I’m in Los Angeles)

Discussion The wild story of snipedown getting dropped in 2008

Post image
Upvotes

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KFCEAD__nG0&t=2814s

21:40 in this interview Roy talks about how he was blindsided by Mackeo and Lunchbox making the move to drop snipedown after a 2nd place finish without even consulting him...obviously it didn't work out, as snipedown went on to win the next event with Triggers Down.

What I'm curious about- the rumors from snipedown himself who said after winning the next event with TD, they were also trying to drop him. He ended up leaving for str8 and the rest is history, but wondering if any old heads know why TD was ready to drop him after coming off of a win?

Video Lucid on Halo Fest, Activision Rumors, Pro $8's Scammers, 2024 OpTic vs Shopify

Upvotes

Recap

  • When asked about the rumors of Activision developing a new Halo game, Lucid said he doesn’t care who makes it, he just wants a new Halo game. “The fact that we’re at where we’re at, where it took them six years to release Infinite, and now we’re approaching the five year mark of Infinite is insane. It is insane. It’s way beyond reasonable.”
  • Lucid says Halo Fest in December needs to deliver. “They already have a terrible reputation and it just keeps sinking, so they need something actually good to bounce them back.” He says there’s “zero hype about the future of Halo from anyone in the gaming community” and that Halo Studios needs to do “literally anything to actually start building their brand back. Literally anything.”
  • He says “the worst thing that you can do for your brand is for people to develop apathy for you, your brand, your game, like what you are doing. And people develop apathy by complete neglect. If they don't announce anything by the end of this year [at Halo Fest], that will only just steep even more. Plain and simple.”
  • Lucid calls pro $8’s “a really stupid setup” and says “a lot of those guys just bet whatever stupid amount of money and then they just scam each other. They act like they can’t try unless money’s said to be on the line, and then they don’t even pay a majority of the time.”
  • When asked how the OpTic 2024 roster (Lucid, Formal, Trippy, Pznguin) “with vibes fully intact” would have performed against current Shopify, he thinks they “probably would’ve had good competition against them. I feel like the types of matches we had against [2024 SSG] that year, we probably would’ve had similar games against [Shopify].”
    • He also says "If vibes were fully intact, there's a chance we actually could've been winning shit that entire year [vs 2024 SSG]."

Discussion LVT Pro League - Week 2 Stats Update

Upvotes

Instead of showing all the typical stats (K/D, damage per minute, etc.), I wanted to talk about the percentage stats this time. Specifically, percentage of “team X stat”. This lets us see which players are the most active on their respective teams and “doing their 25%”.

I captured the percentage of Team Kills, Assists, Damage Dealt, Objective Impacts, Flag SCARS, Oddball Time, and Zone Time for all 32 players so far, then looked at the average for all 7 stat categories to get an “overall average”. Here’s the leaderboard after the first 2 weeks:

1) 33.60% - Last Shot

2) 31.59% - Soul Snipe

3) 29.53% - Acid

4) 29.14% - SuperCC

5) 27.87% - Sab

6) 27.77% - Tapping Buttons

7) 27.67% - Legend

8) 27.05% - Precision

9) 26.51% - yakzn

10) 26.06% - Avucy

11) 26.05% - Kuhlect

12) 25.94% - Taulek

13) 25.47% - King Nick

14) 25.21% - Lucid

15) 25.06% - Renegade

16) 25.02% - Penguin

17) 24.68% - Descendant

18) 24.67% - bubu dubu

19) 24.49% - SnakeBite

20) 24.22% - Bound

21) 23.80% - Cearion

22) 23.73% - Falcated

23) 23.48% - RyaNoob

24) 23.05% - Stellur

25) 23.02% - Frosty

26) 22.52% - Trippy

27) 22.19% - Cykul

28) 21.19% - Royal 2

29) 21.03% - Suppressed

30) 19.61% - Suspector

31) 19.51% - Druk

32) 19.28% - Eco

Note - Objective Impacts (2026 avg. is 2.72 per game) is an amalgamation of objective kills and all the little non-direct scoring objective plays (zone secures, Oddball grabs, etc.).

Note - Flag SCARS (2026 avg. is 6.36 per game) stands for Steals + Captures + capture Assists + Returns + Secures.

Note - I also track % of Team Power Weapon kills, but the percentages can be very high or low and they skew the overall average numbers so decided to omit them. The leader so far is Renegade with 53.13% and last place is Soul Snipe / Suppressed with 0.00%.

Video LastShot recaps the ResetGate drama, says FaZe was "not being respectful"

Upvotes

Recap

  • LastShot started his stream today by recapping the drama from yesterday in theater mode and said "it's the funniest shit ever, I actually started crying laughing. Listen guys, it's really sickening, man."
  • He said his team had the hill "two seconds away [from being capped], you cannot physically make it to the fucking hill. I'm not trolling, there's two seconds. [Renegade] would've had to hit two g-slides to even get feet in the hill, and there's two of us there. So it's going to be a 2v1 in the hill."
  • Someone asked on a scale of 1-10 how much he was pissed off about FaZe not granting the full reset, and LastShot said "probably an 8.5." He continued "It's just not being respectful in my eyes. It's trying to finesse the system, trying to finesse how things are going."
  • He claims if the roles were reversed FaZe would've asked for a full reset in that situation too, and that Shopify would've actually granted it to them. He says sarcastically "Like if you really need that one hill to win, then you're a beast bro."
  • LastShot did give FaZe props for starting the Grand Finals series with a 2-0 map count lead and says "they were just playing really good."

Video LastShot gives Renegade and FaZe the middle finger on camera during Grand Finals Spoiler

Upvotes

Recap

  • In the Grand Finals between FaZe and Shopify, Royal2's game crashed in map 3 just before Shopify were about to capture a hill, which would have tied the game up 1-1.
  • Frosty requested a full reset, but Renegade (in game chat) and Stellur (the party leader) refused and kept it as 1-0 advantage for FaZe. Technically this is within the rules, but arguably poor sportsmanship.
  • This made Shopify play with a chip on their shoulder and they won the next three maps to reverse sweep FaZe. LastShot said "every time you try to cheese us, it just makes us even more fucking locked."
  • LastShot got the final kill on Renegade to close out the series and then popped off by giving him the middle finger directly to the camera and talking trash.

We're getting some juicy storylines for the Pro League!
