Firstly my remote battery died and when I replaced it just didn't connect I can't use it - it's just stuck
Tried pressing the button near the battery but nothing

Second my curtian had suddenly gone offline 2 days back and I couldn't seem to get it online so I unpaired it from the app but now it can't connect at all it just shows failed to connect. I use a 2.4ghz WiFi but didn't work I also tried a phone Hotspot ( maximize compatibility on)
Still failing

Please help I am stuck so bad. Really need both of these problems solved

Can you push a temporary custom PIN to a battery-powered Tuya lock(bluetooth lock) while it is in deep sleep and connected wifi with a gateway
I am using the Tuya Cloud API to create custom 6-digit temporary passwords on a lock connected to a Bluetooth gateway but the request always fails with error 2001 device is offline unless someone physically touches the keypad to wake the lock up first.

Hi, I installed a Tuya/Smart Life 16A Mini WiFi Switch, and it works normally most of the time, but occasionally it turns off or on by itself at random intervals.

I found suggestions to install a 104 (100nF) capacitor directly across the S1/S2 terminals to prevent false triggering. I tried that, but the problem still happens.

Has anyone experienced the same issue or found a solution?

The scooter just came in and I was trying to set it up but can't figure out how. The only blinking light I see is the Bluetooth light and it's a steady blink, no rapidly blinking light visible on the pad.

I've checked the tuya and smart life app to find the device but there isn't anything popping up. what can u do? Do I need to return it?

I'm troubleshooting a Tuya-compatible Semiautomatic Smart Lock that is failing to pair with the Tuya Smart app. Here is the complete step-by-step history of everything done so far:

1. Physical Setup & Initial State

• Wiring: The 6-pin white bus cable connecting the front and rear panels is firmly seated (all 6 pins intact and aligned).
• Night Latch: The square notch for the night latch was aligned vertically downwards to prevent false tamper alarm triggers.
• Mechanical Override: Checked the physical key cylinder. It rotates 360 degrees freely (emergency mechanical override mechanism working properly).

2. Factory Reset Execution

• Performed a Power-On Reset by holding the physical RESET button on the green circuit board while inserting the final battery.
• Result: Successfully wiped! The lock played the audible voice prompt: "Reset successful".
• Post-Reset Behavior: The lock is in a clean state with zero registered admins. Touchscreen lights up on touch, but entering default codes yields "Input Error" as expected for an unconfigured lock.

3. Bluetooth Diagnostic & Troubleshooting Steps (Where it gets stuck)

Despite a successful factory reset, the Bluetooth module refuses to broadcast:

• Tuya Smart & Smart Life Apps: Neither auto-discovery nor manual adding (Smart Lock BLE) detects any device.
• Permissions: iPhone Bluetooth and Local Network permissions were fully enabled; Bluetooth stack power-cycled.
• nRF Connect App Scanning:
  • Scanned using nRF Connect for Mobile with an RSSI filter strictly set to -60 dBm (phone held directly against the keypad).
  • Result: Zero Tuya beacons (TY_, SmartLock, BLE) appeared. The only signal picked up was a PC in the room ("Microsoft"), proving the lock's BLE radio is transmitting 0 dBm / silent.
• Keypad Activation Attempts:
  • Waking the screen before scanning: No broadcast.
  • Pressing *: Screen immediately turns off (standard behavior when no admin is set, but no BLE wake-up).
  • Pressing *#: Screen turns off.
  • Keypad codes (123456#, 93#, 888#, 0#, 555#): Produce "Input Error" voice prompt.
  • Holding * key: No menu prompt triggered.
  • Cold Booting (removing/re-inserting battery to catch bootloader BLE beacon): No signal detected on nRF Connect during boot.

Question for the Community:

Since the main board processor is alive (voice prompts work, touch works, reset triggers), but the sub-module Bluetooth radio emits absolutely no signal in nRF Connect even at -60 dBm right after a power cycle or reset:

1. Is there a specific hardware jumper, key combo, or cold-boot sequence to wake up a dormant Tuya BLE chip on this specific board?
2. Or does this symptom confirm a dead/unpowered BLE radio co-processor on the PCB?

I recently tested a small Tuya / Smart Life Zigbee RF Copier that can learn commands from RF remotes and then send them from a smartphone.

My main use case was pretty simple: I already have 433MHz RF relays installed for my sliding gate and side gate, so I wanted to see if I could control them remotely without modifying the existing gate automation.

A few things I found interesting:

• It has 8 programmable RF buttons
• Each button can learn a different RF command
• There is a built-in lux sensor that can be used in Tuya automations
• Buttons can also be triggered by schedules and scenes
• Fixed 433MHz codes worked perfectly in my tests
• I also tested the Short Packet Mode with the original protected gate remote

The interesting part was comparing a simple fixed-code 433MHz remote with the original rolling-code remote. The copier could record something from the original remote, but whether the gate automation actually accepted the replay was another story.

I also tested the device with Home Assistant, both through the Tuya integration and Zigbee2MQTT.

I’m looking for a way to track the power consumption of my washing machine in the basement, where I don’t have Wi-Fi access. Is there a smart plug with energy monitoring that’s compatible with the Tuya ecosystem and can transfer data over Bluetooth? Ideally, the data should sync automatically in the Tuya app whenever I’m within Bluetooth range.

I've recently installed two wifi smart cameras that use Tuya. In the playback, i can't find any option for playback speed? What is the point of having a security camera if you cant review the footage faster than real time? Or am I missing something?

Remove the ads from the app. We bought the hardware don't splash ads in every screen possible. Personally i am willing to pay a one-time ad removal fee of $25 lifetime (not recurring).

I bought a smart blind controller and had to factory reset it. Ever since have not been able to get the remote to pair to the controller.

Would anybody know the repairing sequence for this unit please?

I have tried holding the button on the bottom until the blue flashing light on the motor shows and pressing the pause/ up and down buttons on the remote but I can’t get it to pair

I have 3 of those cameras, and from time to time, they reset their positions. I would love it if they kept the same position, and I have already considered opening them and cutting their motor's power.

Do you know why it happens and how to solve it?

Does anybody know how i can get my Smart lock to be controlled via WiFi instead of BLE only? I have a Arduino R4 WiFi and an raspberry pi 3 model b v1.2, I'm not paying for some "smart hub" to make it controllable via WiFi.

**OpenTuya Sync** turns a Tuya (or Ledvance SMART+ WiFi, LSC, Nedis, Mirabella, Treatlife — same protocol) bulb into a real-time ambient light for your PC. Everything talks to the bulb directly over your LAN using its Local Key — no Tuya cloud round-trip for the actual color updates.

**What it does:**

- Ambilight — follows your screen color in real time, works with exclusive-fullscreen games

- Music mode — reacts to audio playing on your PC (loopback), auto-gain + beat detection

- Spotify mode — follows the color of the currently playing album art

- Webcam mode — ambient light based on what a camera sees

- Manual control — full HSV color wheel + brightness, like any bulb app

- Runs as a Windows tray app, standalone `.exe`, no Python needed to run it



I also added WLED and Philips Hue output support, but I don't own that hardware, so those are implemented against the official docs but **not verified working** — if anyone here has one and wants to try it, I'd genuinely appreciate the feedback (good or bad).

Built a free desktop tool to convert camera .media clips into usable videos (Windows + macOS)

I made a small app called Mediatovideo Converter to solve a pain point: batches of camera .media clips that are hard to use directly.

What it does:

- Scans folders recursively for .media files

- Groups clips by date (and optional child folder)

- Joins them into one video per group

- Outputs MKV (fast stream copy) or MP4 (H.264/AAC for compatibility)

- Includes progress tracking, cancellation, and clear error messages

- Also has a simple MKV -> MP4 single-file tool

I lost the manual for my smart door lock and have forgotten how to set up the users and password for the door and the fingerprint. Does anyone know how to set this lock up or where I could find the manual online?
