I haven't kept up with Trash Taste or ANY content from Joey, Connor, Garnt, and everyone else related to or involved with them since 2023.

I want to start watching again but think that is a ton of content to try and catch up on but at the same time, it would also feel weird picking it back up on the latest episode.

Can anyone share some memorable moments or major events that have happened in the last 3 years? (Like a recap, but with very little effort on your part).

In this episode Garnt says something along the lines " remember when we made a slur tierlist" and then Connor is equally surprised and asks if they really did it. ( I dont really remember who asked and answered it may jave been vice-versa)

just found out drops of gods had anime ep adaptation and remembered they talked about it especially with sydney just wanna know if he reacted to it

It’s been a good while since I’ve listened to their podcast, not since ‘22. Although I do remember an episode where they talked about Persona, and how Connor wasn’t a fan.

So I started listening to trash taste about two years ago, but I only listen to it at work or during long drives but today at work I finally listened to the newest episode and I’m not exactly sure what to do now.

I wonder how the boys feel about the current wave of strikes hitting the anime react community. I know they all fall on different points of the spectrum when it comes to react content, but it is safe to say that they have all used copyrighted material in their content before.

With their current position as somewhat being insiders, or adjacent to the corpos that are hiring these strikes, it would be interesting to hear their take on this matter. Do they now feel more protective of the industry that have now taken them in, or is there still that spark of youtubers from yore that would want to protect the right to use anime as part of transformative content.

And no, I don't think that this is a very black and white thing. Obviously there is a difference between lazy reacts that just put the whole thing out for people to replace the main experience with, to actual discussions and commentary that foster a community to help share the love and hype with their beloved piece of media. But then, with the copyright strike enforcers that the japanese corpos hire using AI to flag any content that merely even mentions or includes an anime or manga name in the title. it's hard to not look at these strikes as extortion.

Heck, I think some people got strikes from reacting to other youtube videos like skits about anime even. Not actual anime. Some over game trailers or some over just discussions that use pictures and stills. It feels like the Davie504 video that got copyright claimed for playing the sound of silence but was actually a muted video. Do you guys think the boys will even attempt to address this or is it too close to home? Will they essentially bite the hand of the industry that now feeds them?
