Sharing a City Semi-truck’s relaxing drive on the highway

Oof, ignore the terrible quality... Nvidia in-game recording is clearly not the way to go, apparently. Anyway, what do you guys think? I've tried to make the highways as realistic as possible, and I think I've done a pretty good job! (Also, the video is sped up to about 1.35x)

Help & Support (Console) PSA: Fix for pedestrians not entering Pedestrian Areas on Cities: Skylines Remastered (Console)

Post image
Upvotes

I wanted to post this because I’ve now run into the same issue on multiple maps/cities in Cities: Skylines Remastered, and I’ve found a workaround that consistently fixes it.

The problem is with Plazas & Promenades pedestrian streets. I can have a pedestrian area set up correctly, with the pedestrian streets physically connected to normal roads, the service point working, no warning icons, and everything apparently connected properly — but absolutely no pedestrians or visitors will enter the area.
The workaround that fixes it for me is using the regular pedestrian/gravel paths found under the Landscaping menu.

At every place where one of my pedestrian streets connects to a normal road, I build a very short gravel pedestrian path alongside the connection. Usually I only need to extend it about two nodes/squares from the normal road, then connect it into the side of the pedestrian street.

As soon as I make that connection, pedestrians suddenly start entering the area normally. In my latest test the difference was immediate: basically no visitors before adding the paths, then the pedestrian area was flooded with people afterward.

I’ve now reproduced this on more than one completely different map/city, using pedestrian areas that otherwise function correctly, so this appears to be a pathfinding/network connection bug rather than a problem with the pedestrian-area setup itself.

TL;DR: If your Plazas & Promenades pedestrian area is correctly set up but nobody will enter it, try:
Normal road sidewalk → short Landscaping-menu gravel/pedestrian path → side of Pedestrian Street
About two nodes/squares of path has been enough for me. You can also make the little gravel entrances look intentional, so thankfully the workaround doesn’t have to look ugly.

Hopefully this saves somebody else from spending hours wondering why the hell nobody will walk into a perfectly functional pedestrian district.

Sharing a City My first college! How realistic is it?

Post image

This is the first "pretty" town that I've built, and just finished the college. I'm wandering about how realistic it is, as I've tried to make the town at least semi realistic, even though I don't live in America and don't really know how your cities look outside of google maps.

Please tell me about anything i should add to make it look better if you have ideas!

I also Plan on adding some buildings that can work as student housing, but that comes tomorrow probably

Modding Release Custom Aldi Asset

Hello Mayor's!

I've created my first own asset, an old 2000' Aldi supermarket and am thinking about submitting it to the Mod Store - would someone be interested in an asset like this?:)

And does someone know, how it's about copyright stuff regarding logos etc? I know there are already mods out with logos, but since this would be my first mod, I would like to make sure I'm allowed to share an asset like this :D

Help & Support (PC) Overlapping Road Issue

Thumbnail

Upvotes

I am new to the PC version Cities Skylines and I'd love if anyone could offer assistance! I have failed repeatedly in my attempts at creating off-ramps and exits while making use of the well known Road/Network mods. I have looked into this issue prior to posting, and often I'd see people suggest turning on snapping and collision within Network Anarchy. As you can see in my examples, they are toggled, yet the issue persists. I have tried fidgeting around with Move-It and Elektriks Road Tool, but neither solved my issue. Any help would be appreciated :)

Sharing a City Help with a problematic roundabout and also sharing my city after about 30 hours in the city

Thumbnail

So I got this kind of a big and jammed intersection in my city (95k population) and I would like to get it to flow a bit more. The main problem is not the intersection itself but the roundabout leading to the bigger part of the city...

I've tried to make it flow smoother but the traffit just piles up (took the photos a bit too far away so the traffic doesn't actually look that bad in the pics...). I know that the problem is probably that the distances are too short because the cars do all kinds of random lane changes ant stuff... I also use the move it tool quite alot so some of the curves might look better than what they work.

First pic shows the whole intersection combo, the second one shows the main part of the intersection from straight up, the third one is more focused on the problematic roundabout and the few last are of the actual city.

Looking for Mods Is there a mode that can change the appearance of existing RICO buildings?

For example, I am wondering if there is a mod that allows me to change a commercial building built in a 4x4 commercial complex into a different building, as shown in the picture below.

Then President of the United States. Amid questions of his legitimacy as well as catastrophic failures of the national apparatus due to backlash from his policies. Michael Horowitz commisioned a 1 to 1 replica of the Eiffel Tower in Paris and gifted it to the City of Arianna in 2026. To celebrate the opening of several new casinos and commercial districts owned and operated by the Horowitz family. Shortly thereafter Michael Horowitz, His Vice President, and his Chief of Staff were declared missing and the United States of America as it was known ceased to exist. The Horowitz family operations were folded into the new state market system and is still being run by many of the same people.

Modding Release War Skylines II

Upvotes

https://mods.paradoxplaza.com/mods/155931/Windows

Hi

It's not everyone's cup of tea, a very niche type of mod, I fully understand not everyone likes this type of thing at all, but first and foremost it is a sort of passion project.

So I've got a war mod tucked away in paradox mods for Cities Skylines II.

It is in playtest (stable), with a heavy focus on performance, player-comfort and customization, you can even hit pause on it anytime, turn off city damage, or reduce enemy attacks!

(if you're a hardcore player, feel free to do the very opposite, that also is an option lol)

As sort of a note, we are looking to further optimization by getting modellers' help soon, so expect even more optimization soon. This is still a playtest tho!

FPS visible top right

We also have a big update for the next playtest soon.

Please drop feedback here if any! We like to implement player suggestions, thx.

(if anyone can share screenshots if anyone has any in the future, i need for paradox mods i kinda suck at cinematic photos, will mention you in credits boss)
