The incredible thing is that people like him, with zero understanding of business, can still make it to the top. They have an extensive service network in US. They bought and still own the Learjet factory in Kansas. Don't make Learjets anymore though, but still make parts. They also have a division they call Bombardier Defense. US military buys the jets and installs super secret radios in them. They are used as flying radio relays in war time. I worked on one Global that had 80,000 hours on it. They have been using Bombardier products for a long time.

It's the classic two unfounded reasons. The more reasons he gives, even if unfounded, the more chance he has to convince some of the absolute dumbasses that compose his base. Even if one of these worms were to grow a brain cell and realize "wait, if the product wasn't good enough, why did we buy it", they might say "but I guess it makes sense that they should be made in the US", while the other worm on the other side of the street will think "wait, it doesn't make sense that the product has to be made here, it's an importation, that's the basis if trade", he may very well also think "but I guess if the product isn't good enough, why should we keep buying it".

IIRC it is still entirely built in the U.S… otherwise it couldn’t be sold in the U.S. So apparently this ruling has precedence.
