Frontstreet was crazy, the amount the ofb collective captivated and influenced the drill scene was mad and let’s be real, he had everyone knowing his name by 2018 but it all came to a head in 2019 despite him getting bagged. Unreal year for him.

2020: Unknown T/Dutch 🏅

Cheating a bit here but I can’t choose between the two of them. Unknown T ran 2020, ever since he came out of prison and dropped “fresh home” it was banger after banger. His tape “rise above hate” was a really good body of work during the summer. Then to do what he did with the 98’s and shell every single feature with SL, Frosty, NSG. Everything he touched turned to gold.

Same goes for Dutch, started the year with “only if you knew” which was probably the best drill track of 2020. Tracks like “surely” and “bando diaries” were so sick. Then to top it off with a good tape at the top of the year. He had the streets.

2021: Sus 🏅

I think this is the most unanimous out of all these picks, suspect’s run during 2021 was literally one of the best calendar years any single drill rapper has had. “Moonwalk” showed he wasn’t your average drill rapper with the flows, lyricism and cheeky wordplay, and every release afterwards matched that quality or exceeded it BAR NONE. Disgusting run.
