Little opossum man!

Midnight. Hanging in back yard and I hear a weird angry noise. It’s 2 possums on top of my 6’ fence. The small one is yelling at the large one any time it gets close to the small one. I know at least one possum lives under my deck but I don’t know which one is the large vs small one that I’m seeing on the cam. Enter skunk smell. I live in an urban area - why would a skunk be there? Do possums emit skunk smell when they argue? Are both on top of my fence to avoid an actual skunk? I am confused. Here is a picture of small possum. Anyone have insight? My yard has food and water for all critters so not surprised they are on and under my deck and fence, just don’t understand the drama or the skunk spray risk.

There's been a decaying opposum in my tree this whole time, and I've got NO idea what happened. Its tail is wrapped around the branch, and there is what looks like a tear going down its right leg... My thought was it somehow died in it's sleep, but Google says that opposums don't sleep like this, so I'm stumped.

My partner's dad found him and were trying to figure out age

No worries folks, mama had a heavy load for the last few weeks, but she found the sweet under-shed opossum luxury condo/nursery. The kids are safe and dry and mama is out foraging feeling sleek!

Mom left my yard with no babies around 3 am and came back at 4 with her whole crew. They're camped out under the shed for now.

I'm sitting on my couch late tonight and this guy appears. He ambled away and went into a space between the cupboard and the stove. I know there's a portal to *somewhere* in there because I've had mice show up from time to time. I have cats.

1. How old do you reckon he is? Old enough to place outside if I'm able to catch him?

2. How hard should I try to locate and catch him? Is this a crisis for him? Or will he eventually find his way back outside (or to wherever he lives inside my house??).

3. How much of a danger is he to my cats, and vice versa? The little one is already squeezing herself into that space. They will absolutely murder a mouse, but haven't had the chance to try anything bigger than that.

4. How does one catch a house possum? Is this a job for a professional? I definitely don't want him hurt. I'm also not particularly freaked out that he's here. Maybe we can be roomies.

Help?

All four girls are growing nicely!

Hard to see initially, but right in front of his nose there's a big, fat, juicy slug. He seems to really enjoy it.

Also of note, this was snipped from a 5 minute video. It started in night vision black and white, but I turned on the camera light in the middle, right before this clip. He wasn't even remotely phased. Didn't even flinch.
