I was walking my dog with my mom in my neighborhood in Casablanca. It’s a pretty hood/ghetto-ish area lol but I’m actually used to seeing dogs around here. There are always people walking their dogs and usually they’re vaccinated, clean, taken care of etc. Sometimes the owners even let their dogs play with mine for a bit before we go our separate ways.

So I heard a dog barking and thought nothing of it, I just assumed it was another owner with their dog.
Then I realized it was literally a KID dragging this tiny puppy around by the neck with what looked like a rope 😭
The puppy was some small breed, probably a Shih Tzu? He was white but SO dirty and clearly needed grooming. And the kid was letting the other kids throw sandals and bottles at him.

Like I genuinely didn't know what to do.
My mom went over and started talking to the kid and basically begging him to take care of the dog. I went closer to the puppy and honestly this is the part that has been stuck in my head ever since.

He was SO well behaved.
Like despite everything going on, he came up to me and tried to cuddle with me.

My Yorkie is spoiled beyond belief and would probably look at me like I personally offended him if I tried to pick him up lol, so seeing this little dog who was clearly being treated horribly still being so sweet and trusting just broke my heart.

I didn't even care that he was dirty, I couldn't push him away. He just wanted someone to pet him.
My mom literally said she would've bought the dog from them if our house was bigger because it was pretty obvious they couldn't financially take care of him properly.

He needed grooming, food, vet care, everything.
But unfortunately we just don't have the space for another dog.

And I swear I keep thinking about him.
Like where is he now? Is he okay? Is someone taking care of him? :(
I know sometimes people get pets without really understanding how much work and money goes into them, but PLEASE if you can't properly take care of an animal, don't get one.

They're not toys. They don't understand why they're being dragged around or having things thrown at them. They just know they're scared and want someone to be nice to them.

That little puppy didn't deserve any of that and I really hope he's okay. 💔

Honestly, this whole IKEA experience made me question paying online upfront in Morocco.

Order wasn’t ready when promised, I was given wrong information, a second delivery attempt was missed, and getting the cancellation/refund confirmed took way too much time.

The whole process was exhausting. I'm not even sure if they are going to process my refund.

It’s frustrating because this is exactly why people still prefer paying on delivery here. If something goes wrong, getting your money back shouldn’t become another problem.

Hello everybody!

My wife had the great idea to book a flight and Riad in Marrakesh for the next 7 days (coming from europe)... I guess I dont have to tell you, why this is not the greatest travelling plan in the history..

And now, here I am, asking locals, how we could spend 4 of these 7 days (3 days we are in the high atlas for trekking/fleeing the heat) in or around marrakesh, or if its worth it to take the long trips to other cities and swallow the bitter pill of paying two accomodations?

I would be very pleased, if you would share your opinion on this.

PS.: For what its worth: I would like to know, in which way I can not act like a tourist who is absolutley hated by locals or what you would like to NOT see when seeing tourists (I know what I am talking about, I live in a small tourist capital)

Im not from morocco but I’ve visited probably over 15 times now. Because of this I’ve had my share of encounters with police across Morocco and not always pleasant (just my personal experience). I don’t have any Moroccan friends but I’ve always wondered what actual moroccans think about police officers in Morocco (whether traffic officers or normal patrol officers etc).

Are they feared, respected, disliked?

Hi everyone! My cousin went to Casablanca about four years ago and brought home this dessert with her that I haven't been able to forget yet. It was a combination of this irregular shaped fried dough which had a light, airy texture and a crispy exterior. Moreover, it was paired with cold butter and a peach-honey puree that tasted so good I still think about it from time to time. Anyone in here knows what it is? Thank you so much! :)

I currently live in a small town, It's bad. The hospital here not equipped, and if it is, all rooms are closed and no doctors work there. food is expensive because we live far away from all major cities. No parks, no green scenery, It's like living on Mars lol. I want to move to another city and feel like I'm a human being for once.
what's the best city for me? affordable, good education, better hospitals and clinics... etc?

I just graduated, have no job yet, and I'm stuck at home in this suffocating heat.

The USFP pushed for Censure Motion (صندوق المقاصة), Which agrees to remove the current government, The PJD and MP agreed to turn against RNI but the USFP retreated for mysterious reasons, The PJD as they always do blamed them as taking money from the RNI to retreat, But the USFP knew that the pathetic PJD would use that chance to climb back into fame and MP also would gain more seats, So they retreated taking all the blames but saving Morocco from those shit parties.

They know what we don't know, There is no solution, Being a politician is useless, They would not promise anything because they know that what they promise is fixing problems they cause.

Hey, I’m curious about the anime figure collecting scene in Morocco.

Are there many people in Morocco who collect anime/manga figures ? I’ve been collecting some myself and I was wondering if there’s actually a decent collecting community here.

I’ve found a few Facebook groups, but I was wondering if there are other communities or groups for collectors in Morocco.

It’s on my back so not visible unless I’m shirtless and I want to go swimming in Tangier.
