Abrupt Grounding Fainted and broke mirror the day my friend comes back to her apartment
My generous friend let me stay in her apartment for 45 days while she's working at a summer camp.
I'm known in the friend group for being very meticulous about cleaning and very careful with other peoples' stuff. I cleaner her whole house many times, bought her a new mop etc .I reorganized her kitchen cabinet and got her some nice gifts, some of which I already gave to her. I just wanted her to feel good. She came home for one day when she had a day off and said she felt like she was on one of those home makeover shows...
Well she's coming today (I was planning on cleaning) it's 7.50 am currently and at 6 I got up to drink some water and fainted face first to the floor hitting my nose pretty hard and this mirror fell on top of me. When I came to and realized what had happened, I was so upset.
Just wonderful

Abrupt Grounding Children at 18+ events
I just wanna complain about this really fast because I’m just still annoyed. I went to New York renaissance fair two days ago and my boyfriend was super excited to show me a comedy show that was 18+ and supposedly really funny…. Anyway people brought their stupid kids anyway and the guy on stage kept “joking” to the parents to get rid of the kids and Karen’s didn’t really understand that it was for them/ it was an 18+ show. Now there’s kids here and this guys whole entire comedy routine is absolutely garbaged and had to come up with new stuff on the fly which ultimately sucked and was very very unfunny. Why do parents do this. Not everyone wants ur fucking kids around dawg, and why are we purposely bringing kids to an 18+ event I mean cmon. Made the whole show suck for everyone around because YOU decided that you and your kid are more important than everyone else. Selfish ass parents

Abrupt Grounding Guy jumped on the hood of my car, walked on it and then jumped onto another car at Angel Stadium
Got back to my car, noticed shoe prints on the hood of my car. Upon watching sentry video, see this jackass jump on the hood, walk it front to back and then jump onto the car behind mine.

Abrupt Grounding My Fathers Day Gift Arrived
My step daughter recently started calling me dad and sent me a surprise Fathers day gift this year. It just arrived in a double layered "fragile" labelled bag. Im both happy and sad at the same time.

Abrupt Grounding Found a old nude of my mom while going thru her old files 😳
I am going thru some of my parents old files and I found a nude of my mom from probably 60 years ago.
I think that I am traumatized 🤪

Abrupt Grounding Got a speeding ticket and have to appear in court
I was driving home from work pretty early in the morning. The road was clear so I was driving faster than normal. I get pulled over and tell him "I'm sorry, I wasn't paying attention to my speed" When I get home, I call to pay off the ticket and they tell me that he entered my speed as 1 mph over the limit to where it's considered reckless driving. I can't just pay a fine and I'm required to appear in court. This was my very first ticket and now I'm worried that this will be put on my criminal record

Abrupt Grounding I have been using medical mouthwash by accident for years and it should only be used for 1 month at a time.
I buy the same mouthwash each time and for about 6 years have used it daily.
I read the bottle today (bored in the shower) and it says on it, do not use for more than 1 month at a time.
In case you do too, just saying this as a warning for chlorhexidine as it only says it on the back of the bottle at the bottom of the text. I will spend the next few hours googling why I shouldn't have been doing that!

Abrupt Grounding Argument with dad over pickup truck vs hatchback sedan/SUV for gardening side hustle
I have years in the trade and thought maybe I'd do odd job gardening on the side in the future, beyond a full-time job. He knows a lot about cars, so he asked me why I thought I needed a pickup truck for gardening jobs... Yes he does not seem to think keeping absolutely filthy equipment and yard waste, etc. needs to be kept outside of the cab is important. Don't want to wreck the car a few years in with wear and tear like that. A flatbed is designed for this kind of work. Never in my life seen anyone in the business using an SUV or sedan... but he won't hear of it. I kept repeating how ludicrous it would be to work with anything other than a dump truck, large work van, truck or trailer 🤦♀️Even for minor jobs you can't predict what a client wants at any one time.
(Yes I know companies use dump trucks or trailers for large loads. I'd have to exclude large jobs from my service or anything beyond minor disposal).
It's just frustrating you work years in the business and you don't question other people's knowledge of *their* field. But suddenly I know nothing 😂 Course I could be wrong, maybe some people out there really do use SUVs in their gardening business, wouldn't shock me that much. It just seems really inconvenient and messy.
Oh and when I said I felt insulted he didn't take my word, he got all angry. "I'm just doing you a favor and you get like this!" Um, maybe don't repeatedly question my opinion on the bare minimum know-how in my line of work?
Edit: Thank you everyone for the tips. I've worked for landscaping and gardening companies but never purchased equipment or vehicles myself. There is always more to learn. I only know how my employers operated but they'd been in business for many years. Also observed other companies and I guess it's harder to notice the even smaller scale operations making do.

Abrupt Grounding This disc won't download
For context, I got Grand Theft Auto V a year ago for the XBOX Series X. I recently removed some games my brother downloaded with Game Pass, which I didn't want nor we played mostly to make room for it again. But the installation stopped at 72.2%. I put other discs in and they all work. So the problem comes from this disc. But not this one. I tried removing and insert it again, cleaning the disc with alcohol and a Q-tip, and rubbing it against my shirt. But nothing. And what makes it weirder is it dosent have scratches, fingerprints, or stains I can see. I never had a problem like this before. If anyone has advice, that will be helpful. If nothing works, I'm considering buying a new copy at GameStop or eBay.
Edit: For clarification, I am aware that this is Disc 2. Disc 1 downloaded well. So don't ask to put Disc 1 in first, please.

I can't get it unlodged and the branch is really big so I can't even stand it back up...that's frustrating.

Abrupt Grounding This is a pull handle
For some reason at my works there are two bathroom stalls, but they for some reason put decided to put a handle on the push door, but not one for the pull door? So you have to grip this little sliding lock to get out.

Abrupt Grounding This is absolutely infuriating. I cannot turn on my television set.
I was just watching Law and Order. I wanted to airplay a YouTube video. I hit airplay then everything went dark.
I put new batteries in the remote. I’ve unplugged and re- plugged.
It’s a Samsung tv. What should I try?
I’m feeling as if Big Brother didn’t like Can’t By a Thriil!

Abrupt Grounding Licensed professionals
One of my least favorite life lessons in adult hood is learning that hiring licensed professionals can mean very little.
Hire an accountant and they do your taxes wrong? You signed off on it and are ultimately responsible for the repercussions- and interest!
Hired a licensed contractor and they give bad advice? The penalties and pathway to rectify it are on you- and it was your responsibility to know they didn’t know what needs permitting!
Hire a lawyer who professes his expertise in your area of need? If they change their tune halfway through and start citing their lack of experience, it’s just too dang bad.
Many people love to throw around “sue! sue!”
But the reality is: it will very likely cost more to go after those who don’t take responsibility than just absorbing the cost of it yourself- not to mention the stress of the pursuit itself.
Just a very tired vent.

Abrupt Grounding Statefarm multi policy discount fail
I recently changed my car insurance to a non-owner policy as I sold it and am in the process of buying a new car. I wanted to keep it open to maintain both loyalty and multi policy discount perks coupled with my renters insurance. After a month I find out that it turns out a non-owner POLICY does not count as a policy and I lost my multi POLICY discount. Is this a common thing among other providers? Just feels like an insurance scam and another way to screw a customer of 40 years. The system is just rigged against the common person. Rant over.
