Missing Peace The speakerphone paradox

Post image

I was at the pool today when a woman started having a conversation on her phone using the speaker.

I politely asked her if she could not use the speaker and pointed to my headphones.
She said, “I don’t have headphones.”
So I said, “You can just hold the phone next to your ear.”

She looked at me with a completely blank expression and said, “I’m on speakerphone.”
I said, “Well… that’s the problem.”

Apparently, we had reached the limits of modern technology.

Maybe 15 years ago, different company, a guy in another department would fucking keep talking on the phone at the URINAL. I told the story to other coworkers and he henceforth became known as The Piss Talker.

I’ll always remember the dude who worked at my old office years ago who was at the urinal and had his phone propped up while he was talking on speakerphone. That was as I’m coming into the bathroom.

By the time I finished at my urinal, he had quickly ended the call, resumed watching Wonder Woman on the phone and had his hands clasped behind his back.

This is similar to something I've noticed at work lately, he place I visit that usually has urinals. Anyway, people so caught up in their phone they can't even take a break while pissing in a urinal. It's so strange to me and it's not like I'm not always on my phone but, not like that

I’ve heard people sit in stalls at airports and restaurants and talk on the phone while laying down the most raunchy horrible shit sounds. I don’t get it. Why can’t this call wait a few minutes?
