As the title says, I was looking for more instrumental Dilla beats to add to this playlist, as I only have the Instrumental Joints, Instrumental Series Vol 1 and 2 “Unreleased” and “Vintage”, the three 2005 Beat CDs and Another Batch. I feel like there must be a bunch I’m missing.

From what I recall, some people did not agree with what was being said in the book by Dan Charnas.

I even had this idea of having the artists that worked with Dilla to sign the book, but Talib Kweli didnt even aknowledge it when I asked him to sign it in a smaller audience performance. Does anyone know why?

who did it better busta rhymes or elzhi?

I can only imagine how difficult it is to get samples cleared, permission from the estate, etc. however, do we have any news for Boldy’s Dilla project? He said two years ago he had the “last” of the Dilla batch.

After hearing DILLAGENCE II, it’s clear not all of the production was “unheard.” I don’t give a fuck about that. I appreciate Busta Rhymes’ willingness to even share this much with us. I’d expect the same for the listening experience once Boldy does drop the project.

DILLAGENCE II, and the Badu x Alchemist projects are actually here! Two projects I thought we’d never see. Hopefully Boldy gets the same luck.

Highlights to me are "Back Pain, Chest Pain, Head Pain", "Royalty", "Talk Ya Shit" and maybe "What We Got In Common".

I was really excited with D'Angelo's track but honestly his vocals are so low quality it throws me off. The tracks also feels empty, and it's 4:21 lol.

"Wait 4 U" got my attention but feels a bit messy, especially the chorus. It had potential.

The rest is not bad but nothing that really stands out that much to me tbh. I like the beats of the intro/outro aswell.

How y'all feeling about it?

Beats: Either already released or horrific quality, with like 2 something decent mixes that arent ai, and a completely boxfull of rappers, some just reused. and then we got busta singing his heart out while he complains with other uncs about trans people and children, and wanting to knock a certain type of persons head off. i would almost hope this was ai at this point, its better than this schlorgusboard of rap cat stroggenoff. truly horrific, and made me want to cry.
