Engage General Playing engage atm. Seriously who writes these dialogues?

Just met this Yunaka girl and holy crap who writes this shit?

Also every mf gushing over the divine dragon from the second the game starts... I can not take this game serious.

What happened?

Edit: okay after a day with Yunaka she's my favorite character and literally my wife. Am i schizo?

It's remarkable how a good half the comments in here are not only 'Engage is bad' they're also 'everyone who likes Engage is lying to themselves.'

Yeah I think alot of Engage criticism lacks substance behind it, and that makes it hard for people to understand what others like myself would see in the game. This isn't to say I think it's above criticism, I just wish that criticism was something I could actually engage (haha) with. There's alot I like and dislike about the writing but it's so hard finding people willing to talk about it properly

People are generally really good at knowing they dont like something, and are generally much worse at figuring out why.

Though admittedly some things just bounce off of people stylistically and theres not much to do about it.

Ive bounced off engage a few times now and i think I just do not like the character designs/world building like at all. Like it cant just be "bad writing" because I played and loved all the fates games , and the fates games also have not great world building, I like the character designs more in fates but still have some issues.

I wonder if I dont like the game play like subconsciously or something and just disregard that since its highly praised
