WT Can't Stop Me A message to the Governing Body: The September broadcast is a joke

Upvotes

Seriously Governing Body do you really think people are gonna fall for this whole AI story?

If you guys ever get called to testify about abuse cases or anything else, don’t worry we’ll be right here posting all the evidence showing that this stuff is real.

And if someone makes an AI video of one of you announcing some “new understanding,” everyone here knows that if it’s not on the official JW website, then it’s not real.

But if you guys announce something yourselves on the website and then later turn around and say it was AI, it’s gonna look a lot like Jehovah isn’t protecting you from everything after all, right?

So keep treating your members like children and feeding them these stories. You’re only giving us more ammunition to push back against you.

Venting I wish my mom had never accepted the study and I wish my dad hadn’t gone along

Upvotes

I sit here as a 50+ year old woman, estranged from my family because of this religion, wondering what life could have been like if my parents hadn’t found “the truth” 2 years before I was born. I recently had a conversation with my dad’s younger brother about what my dad was like growing up and in his 20s. The person he described was the person I got glimpses of but the organization took over so much of his personality. He was stressed about the end coming, never feeling like he was doing enough even though he was an elder, held bookstudy in our home, ministry every Saturday without fail, always preparing for a part he never enjoyed giving. He had terrible stage fright he never overcame. The personal failures were not just mistakes, they were catastrophic. Those insecurities and that stress were passed on to us. The keeping up of the facade of being the perfect witness family was so exhausting. I’m not saying my father was perfect, he was far from it. He made grave errors and was humbled because of them but he never stopped trying to meet the expectations.
My father passed away, after an extended battle with Alzheimer’s, three years ago. I was his caretaker along with my mother. She and I were exhausted, the house needed repairs, we couldn’t keep up with the lawn care. Because my parents didn’t save much money for the future, as most witnesses don’t, and he spent all of his spare time doing for the organization or for others (he was generous and caring - not just out of obligation) there was no money for extra caregivers, housekeepers etc. The witnesses sure were not there to help. He spent 50+ years in that organization and at the end of it all, no one cared.

Venting September broadcast…………..

Upvotes

It can sometimes seem like people are always hunting for negatives about this religion, but the reality is that the organization’s theology rests on a foundational falsehood and that’s precisely why I think criticism tends to outweigh praise.

That being said, the speaker in this September JW broadcast made a valid point. He showed an AI generated video of himself that looked convincing enough for an ordinary viewer to mistake it for a genuine recording. But the solution he offered, to trust only the official website, has a serious blind spot. An organization’s own website cannot be the only acceptable source for investigating its conduct. To independently examine the Australian Royal Commission’s findings for instance or the organization’s handling of child abuse allegations, you have to look beyond what the organization chooses to publish about itself. There is nothing wrong with knowing an organization’s faults. The problem is an information environment that allows you to see only what reflects positively on it.

That is what troubles me about his framing. He does not have to explicitly say that every negative video is AI generated for the demonstration to encourage that suspicion. By emphasizing how convincing fabricated footage can be, then directing viewers back to the website without explaining how to independently verify a recording, he leaves genuine evidence vulnerable to dismissal simply because it comes from elsewhere. Someone could encounter legitimate Royal Commission footage and respond, “That could be AI,” without examining its source or checking the official transcripts.

The fact that a video can be fabricated does not mean an uncomfortable video has been fabricated. Yet members who lack the technical skills to assess a recording, or are already reluctant to consider criticism of their religion, may take that possibility as sufficient reason to dismiss it. The suspicion becomes a substitute for verification. Anything outside the official website can then be treated as untrustworthy, leaving the organization both the subject of scrutiny and the authority deciding which evidence its members should trust.

WT Policy September Broadcast - the A I fear mongering. Cooke's really laying the paranoia on thick. I am literally amazed as the lengths they're going to to convince the R&F that everything is a lie.

Upvotes

So I just watched this portion of the broadcast.

It's apparent that they're desperate to control the narrative.

It's also becoming apparent to me that they're setting the groundwork for some sort of GB approved search engine slash streaming channel to drop at some point..

New data center? Low on cash on hand due to excessive lawsuits? What better way to fund the cult than a monthly subscription fee from 8 million plus publishers?

He mentioned always 'keeping up with the faithful and discreet slave' and blah blah ..all referencing and showing photos of things related to digital platforms.

Visually, I'm seeing the mental messaging of ONLY JW ORG approved is gonna get you saved.

I also don't get the circular reasoning - so they're gonna scrub anything negative or contradictory fm their library, including videos and replace them with the edited A I versions?

And then 'we never said that'??

AND - note how he mentioned even 'in print'.

So for instance, the PDFs some of us track down on certain sites of old books or magazines - those are ALSO A I now??? If its negative information from the past?

It's SO important to hold on to any and all old publications we all have.

They're doubling down on the 1984 shyte.

Anyone else get the same vibe?

Ask ExJW What do you guys think the “new light” at the Annual Meeting in October is going to be? Do you think we’ll see some kind of administrative change, a doctrinal change, or maybe both?

Upvotes

Honestly, I’d love for it to be birthdays, but I really don’t see them approving that. If I had to guess, I think the more likely change would be getting rid of the midweek meeting. By the way, if they do that, what will they replace the midweek meeting with? another family worship night? or may be every family will have the book study at home?

PIMO Life My reflections on over 10 years PIMO

Upvotes

Hi, I’m still in, have been so for almost 30 years.

From about the age of 14 I started to realise none of it was truly real, especially the governing body. I have come to a different appreciation of the Bible since then, from a fresh perspective, and still internally consider myself Christian to some degree.

I’ve lurked here for years, really enjoyed some of the things I’ve read, and for the most part it has sealed my lack of faith. From the age my faith started crumbling I started having more fun with life, lots of sneaking out, a couple birthdays, even watched Harry Potter.

The things is, as I got older I didn’t take decisive action, I was weak willed. I’m now married in, most of my family are in, all of my friends are in, I don’t have a network outside. I’m bad at socialising with non-witnesses, I love my wife dearly, I cherish my family (mostly), I feel totally trapped.

She would never admit it, but I’m fairly convinced my wife has doubts, she is happy to engage in jokes about the state of the updates, the terrible songs, how boring and useless it all feels. But anytime the conversation has a more serious tone, that’s it, she’s straight back to her programming.

I’ve become quite depressed in the last year, it’s hurt my marriage and I can’t truly talk to her about why it’s happening. She’s asked me to consider therapy, and I think I will. It would be the first time in my life that I’ll be able to be honest with someone 100%.

What an absolutely ridiculous thing to be born into a doomsday cult. I feel so utterly foolish for spending as much time on it, and remorseful for the time I’m going to give to it in the future. I don’t see myself leaving unless I can wake my wife up, it wouldn’t be worth it to me. She is utterly wonderful, just unknowingly trapped.

I’m just here to say hello, and then get back to grinning and bearing it. It is getting so much harder, the meetings are so much more painful, ministry is draining, I can’t bear to even smile when my partner tells me they’re going live in a nice house they’ve seen while on the doors when everyone is wiped out...

A Hail Mary message to my wife - if you’re somehow reading this and you’ve recognised my writing, let’s make the most of the life we have left.

PIMO Life Yet Another Subtle Change

Thumbnail jehovahs-witness.com
Upvotes

There are many of us who were unambiguously told , both in person and in print, that we would never grow old in this system of things (example May 22 Awake 1969).

Now, they are 'singing a different tune' ! A young couple marry and grow old together.

They can't openly admit they issued a false prophecy - so they gradually change how they discuss the future. This comports well with reports of delays in their projects and JWs not being clear on what to tell the public.

Now, I suppose someone could argue that maybe we shouldn't be pointing out this drift into apathy - if it were to trigger a backlash of blind cultish zeal. OTOH, I think - if they continue on this altered course, it will strongly confirm our suspicions as to what the Governing Bozos have in mind.

Ask ExJW Jehovah's witnesses have lost all confidence

Upvotes

Jehovah's Witnesses used to be obnoxiously arrogant and confident that they and they only had the truth.

I find interesting that modern JW are afraid of being questioned of what they believe

I actually see in their eyes how they no longer feels any confidence in what they say or teach

Ministry has been completely dead. Or if they still do is only for the compromise rather than any religious seal

This religion is truly a walking corpse

PIMO Life Working for The Governing Body gives them VIP travel, a celebrity lifestyle and the ability to make videos about Deepfakes - remember this when you are cleaning a Kingdom Hall toilet.

Upvotes

When I was PIMQ/PIMO, I many times didn't think about the luxuries I was giving to The Governing Body when I completed tasks that were presented as privileges.

When anyone here completes assignments of any type in the congregation you are enabling The Governing Body to live like celebrities in their lakeside penthouses.

What do they have due to the endless free labor from average Jehovah's Witnesses?

  • They live in a gated luxury lakeside retreat in rural Warwick, New York.
  • They don't pay for rent, healthcare, food, laundry, cleaning or really any expenses of daily living.
  • They have cars and drivers that take them most places.
  • They have thousands of bethelite minions that will do literally anything they ask.
  • They travel like celebrity VIPs with first class or business class seats on airlines.
  • They stay in luxury hotel suites and in some cases have whole floors of hotels rented for security.
  • They have Jehovah's Witnesses clamoring to wine and dine them at expensive restaurants everywhere they go.
  • They have Jehovah's Witnesses clamoring to give them green-handshakes of money everywhere they go.
  • They have millions of people working for free on real estate projects doing construction, maintenance, purchasing and design work.
  • They have millions of people cleaning toilets, vacuuming carpets and doing endless free work that enables the Watchtower empire to keep running.
  • They have a televangelist broadcasting studio where they can make videos about any topic they want.
  • This could be a longer list, but I think you get the idea.......

They have all of this largely because Jehovah's Witnesses work for free so that The Governing Body can live a wealthy celebrity lifestyle every day of their lives. They cannot exist as they do today without having all the free Jehovah's Witness workers.

The Governing Body can't pay people to do all of the work needed to keep this harmful religion running.

The moment that they have to pay people for all of the free work, then they will have to drastically downsize and change how they run the religion.

Note on Governing Body Lifestyle

There is a good amount of discussion here around what do The Governing Body get from their positions. I have listed many things above that have significant monetary value that is directly related to them being on The Governing Body. However, it is also worth mentioning that many influential and powerful people do not live in enormous mansions, have a collections of luxury vehicles, millions in fine art or other things that outwardly display their wealth or power.

For example, the U.S. CEO of Berkshire Hathaway Warren Buffet is well know for living a relatively modest life while at the same time having an extreme amount of influence, power and wealth. Mr. Buffet has personal wealth of U.S. $148 billion. For 60 years he was at the top of a corporation that in 2026 has a value of U.S. $1 trillion and that generated U.S. $67 billion in profit in 2025.

WT Can't Stop Me The September broadcast is yet another example of Watchtower gas lighting

Upvotes

I have not watched it yet but have read the other posts on how the Borg is conditioning the faithful to not trust their lying eyes. What I mean by that is they want to sow as much doubt and distrust about any source that is negative and unflattering about them so that the indoctrinated, lobotomized PIMIs will only trust jw Borg content. So exJW YouTube activists who share clips of JW videos will now be accused of doctoring the content. Sites like jwfacts.com that show screen shots of magazine articles will be accused of making it up. It’s “fake news”.

This parallels the novel “1984”. The Party’s ultimate psychological demand: commanding citizens to disregard the evidence of their own eyes and ears.
The protagonist, Winston, notes that the Party would eventually proclaim that 2 + 2 = 5, and the public would be forced not merely to say it, but genuinely believe it. Common sense becomes the ultimate heresy. The Party's philosophy denies that an external, physical world exists outside of the mind, ensuring that if the mind is controllable, reality itself is whatever the Party dictates. O'Brien, the primary antagonist, clarifies the underlying motive behind this manipulation: the Party does not seek power for wealth, luxury, or the welfare of others, but solely for the sake of pure power, the ability to inflict pain, reshape minds, and dictate reality itself.

Replace “party” with “GB” in the above and you can see how 1984 is a blueprint for their modus operandi.

Venting Yesterday was a Big Bad Grief Day(™) but I figured some things out

Upvotes

Yesterday my grief over my family hit me like a brick wall. I haven't been in that much emotional pain since Christmas, which was a month after I was first shunned.

It being Labour Day yesterday was what triggered it. My family has a tradition going back as far as I can remember of having a pancake breakfast together on stat holidays. Sometimes we'd invite other people, but usually it was just us. My dad and sister would make the pancakes and bacon, mom and I would clean up, my brother would do nothing lol, but we'd all hang out and usually continue visiting into the afternoon. It was so nice.

The grief started trickling in last Thursday. I had a busy, fun-filled weekend (it was Pride week in my city, I had so much participating for the first time!), but the grief was there, just under the surface, the whole time.

I asked my boyfriend if he and his daughter wanted to come over on Monday for our own pancake breakfast. It was fun; his daughter and I made the pancakes, and he cooked the bacon. But it fell flat, and after they left I felt worse than ever. I was trying to replace something irreplaceable.

The pain got to a point where it felt unbearable. I just want my family back. To feel that sense of belonging that I had with them. To feel so deeply known and loved.

I didn't feel like I was strong enough to carry that much grief for the rest of my life.

I tend to keep the extent of my pain to myself in a misguided attempt to avoid burdening others, but this time I decided to be honest with my boyfriend and let him know how dark my thoughts were getting. He called me and we had a good talk.

His specialty is harsh truths, kindly said. He said he hates to see me pouring so much love and energy towards people who aren't pouring it back. And then he hit me with a painful truth: what I'm missing is gone forever, and I'm not going to get it back.

Even if they let me back in now, it wouldn't be the same. There would be awkwardness and judgement. Unless all four of them wake up, that old comfortable dynamic is gone. I can hold out hope that maybe at least my mom will relax (I've had some limited contact with her recently), or that maybe some of them will wake up, but I need to stop wishing for something from the past that I've lost.

I hadn't realized how much I was in denial, and how much I was torturing myself with it. It reminded me of something I learned in therapy years ago: that suffering is a choice. Pain without acceptance creates suffering. Pain with acceptance is just pain. And acceptance doesn't mean approval, or that I'm okay with it. It just means that I accept that it is what it is.

Today, I am so emotionally hungover, but I feel like I have moved onto phase 2 of my grief. I am trying to move in the direction of acceptance.

P.S. This is my first time posting here using my main account! Finally moving on from u/throwaway043980

Venting September Broadcast a.i videos

Upvotes

The logical question that arises:

If as claimed in the September broadcast that a.i videos can be convincing and made in a short period of time then why has the organisation spent 100s of millions on two film studios that still aren't finished in both the usa and Australia? Surely now full length feature films can be made with a.i. so why waste the donations on trying to be Hollywood when you could feed and clothe your brothers and sisters instead? What would jesus do?

JW / Ex-JW Tales Why are people in the cult so stupid????

Upvotes

My parents are so stupid….. I’m removed and they don’t even fucking believe I’m going to an eye appointment to get my eyes checked today. They think everything I say is a god damn lie, and I’m sick and tired of it. They need to get a grip on themselves. I’m ready to move out and leave my family. I don’t care how it makes them feel. My mom’s saying she’s gonna have a heart attack if I move out. My dad is acting like a dick making stupid ass comments and saying I hope you’re not meeting up with a girl, when I went to go play pickleball last night. They’re literally getting on my fucking last nerves and I want to show them. They were literally begging for me to come back when I left the house. They think they’re doing nothing wrong, but the dumbass comments they make and the shit they say pisses me off. I’m ready to be done with them, I attend meetings, yet they say I give no effort. I’m so done with this shit. I’m ready to just give up, move out and not give a fuck.

Venting I feel so sorry for my mother, she lives a sad life.

Upvotes

I feel so sorry for my mother you all. It's so sad how they have a persecution complex. How everything good is from Jehovah but everything bad "the devil is busy".

How she has the zoom info for the meetings hidden. How she has the list of the phone numbers and addresses for the people in the congregation hidden so no one finds it when the "tribulation" breaks out.

There will be no great tribulation. There will he no Armageddon. I think something majorly catastrophic will happen worldwide...but it's not going to lead to what the dubs believe.

She registered to vote so she'll "be protected" when she got her real ID. I guess in her mind, if she's registered to vote they won't be targeted during the "GT". It's so sad. I wish she would wake up and leave the cult.

WT Policy How would a JW guy act if you said you didn’t want to have s*x on wedding night?

Upvotes

What would happen if you told your new husband that you wanted to wait a few nights instead?

Sounds reasonable and normal, but I have a sneaky feeling this would be considered controversial 😂

There is a weird expectation that everyone must do it on their wedding night, but wouldn’t it be less ”special“ when you’re so tired from a long day? Shouldn‘t you spend a few nights getting more used to each other before jumping into everything?

Ask ExJW Curious about wall calendars

Upvotes

I have a random curiosity. I visited my parents (still very PIMI) last week and I noticed that they no longer have one of the JW wall calendars. Instead, they have a regular landscape calendar that they bought from the store.

Do JWs still publish/distribute the wall calendars? Or have they stopped doing that?

Venting How can the Watchtower increase its membership to ten million?

Upvotes

Hello, dear Governing Body, I can give you a free tip on how to show growth. Eliminate the report for publishers altogether and stop classifying “irregulars and inactive members” as such. The secretary should simply count everyone who has ever been baptized in the territory, even if these people haven’t attended for years. Only official apostates should not be counted. Everyone else should be counted. Remember when your report only required a checkmark—that’s when you hit 9 million. That was possible because the elders checked the box for everyone who came to the hall. Now all you have to do is add everyone else, and voilà—you’ve surpassed 10 million. You’re welcome!

Humor If they claim AI, then let’s give them AI!

Upvotes

I have zero idea how to do this but it would be hilarious. Make a video that’s a split screen of Jackson at the ARC. One side is how it actually went and the other side of him giving a truthful (truthful to the Borg anyway).

“Yes, we do believe we are gods only channel”

“Well if we caught someone celebrating Christmas, there would be a problem”

Then we just sit back and watch the JWs comment about how he stood up for the truth and didn’t back down. 🤣🤣🤣

PIMO Life What in the name of Lord Lucan just happened on JW Boguscast

Upvotes

Did you ever watch something so spectacularly absurd that your brain just quietly packs a small suitcase and leaves the building?

That’s me right now. I’m sitting here in a state of stunned, eyebrow raised disbelief, trying to process the fact that someone, somewhere, thought it was a brilliant idea to stage a fake AI announcement, pretend it’s the sort of thing “opposers” do, and then congratulate themselves for exposing the threat they literally invented five minutes earlier.

It’s like watching someone set their own bin on fire, point at the flames, and shout, “See? This is why you must trust only us.”

My mouth is gaping and my words have abandoned ship.

Edit: Did they actually create an AI fake, because the wooden top said "this is what it COULD look like"?

You see, now they've even got me doubting what they said they did even though I know what I saw but don't believe it. Give me strength.

More edits: for spelling and sheer disbelief and a heart rate thats peaked to a level too high for a middle aged man late at night.

Ask ExJW ¿Vale la pena despertarla?

Upvotes

WT Policy September 2026 Broadcast is mostly about Apostates 🤣

Upvotes

The 2026 broadcast this month was nearly all about “apostate” information.

I have two thoughts
1. Watch out for fake leaks that are actually from Watchtower.
2. PIMI/PIMQ now have new reasons to question historical information about the policies of the borg or Governing Body: “it’s probably just AI”

In the video they show a fake broadcast made by AI. What did it say? Basically “The GB has decided next month our public preaching work will significantly be adjusted. However, at this time, we are not in a position to give you details as to why we are making these details.” - keep in mind, this is not a real announcement, it’s their AI example.

Why fake leak might be coming? Look I don’t know if they will do this, but I previously worked for two companies that discredited real “leakers” of inside company information by deliberately leaking fake information to discredit the leaker. This is not a novel idea.

Also, this sounds oddly familiar to the recent “inside leak” or claim about elders getting letters about a meeting in September and where details are not yet available.

Could be a coincidence. I just wanted to share the thought.

As a result of the “AI example”, some PIMI/PIMQ might start to discredit the “ARC” videos where Jackson responded to questions about CSA and divine direction from God. Videos from Losch explaining all the failed prophecies especially how 1925 and 1975 came from the organization not the people.

All is not lost, these are real videos sourced prior to the public availability of AI. But the watchtower just taught millions of witnesses more cognitive dissonance tools.

My brother (Elder) already texted me about how great the broadcast is. He’s trying to convince me not to leave. About 3 months ago I stopped attending and 1 month ago we talked for 2 hours. Me explaining from failed prophecies to arc, to Russel, to Ray Franz. I remember he asked me “how do you know this is true?” I was like, because Ray died before the GB made all these changes. And most of it is verifiable on JW.org. And the rest not on WOL I verified from the bound volumes still at our Kingdom Hall.

I guess I know now I didn’t wake up my brother 🥹

Anyway. Thoughts on the broadcast? Cults gonna cult?
