Downloading the free trial of the newest NHL I was surprised to see it almost had a 5 star review base of 55 reviews. But going to look at them they are all blank for user names save for a few here and there. I know they’ve used AI already but there’s no way they’re scooping as low as to bot reviews are they?

I have standard edition, so I still don't have access to the game, SO I was wondering is big tipper great in nhl 27?

You know, those surgical tips are my favorite things in hockey, and I was kinda sad that the fixed them in nhl 26. Well, they didn't actually fix them, they fixed "big tipper" itself, so it became almost usless.

So I'm wondering is this x-factor great this year or not?

Already pre-ordered the game. Trying to find something to make me happy here.

Based on everything we’re seeing: the glitches, the botched face scans, incorrect goal horns/songs, AI that can’t defend properly and takes slapshots on a breakaway etc. Do you guys feel like we’re seeing the franchise die in real time. The last sports game to launch this in poor of a state was NBA Live 11* and that killed NBA Live franchise for good (sadly). We still don’t know the sales yet since the game just came out but there is a small chance that if this game doesn’t perform well the new Saudi investors that bought EA could kill the series. What do you guys think?

*I just remembered NBA Live 11 didn’t actually come out but a few copies did leak into the public and exposed how bad the game was. That’s what killed that franchise since EA never recovered.

Hey all, a few months ago I said I was going to start delving into making a hockey. Well I have, needless to say I've done quite a bit of modeling, just figuring out proper animations and movement systems to prototype. Lucky for me, I've been playing hockey for 30 years, goalie 25 of em. I have reffed for 12 years so know the rules and have seen all types of levels up to Juniors, both playing and reffing. I own all player and goalie gear, and plan on really working out the models first. Here is my question who wants to join the ride? I have 10+ years in coding and design systems as well. Hoping 1 or 2 other people might wanna take on the sh$$ storm thats called EA NHL and push it back to the dominant NHL 15 gameplay. Just send me a dm or respond, if you think it's a terrible, I don't really care. Its a passion project and I'll die before I can play a proper hockey game again unless I can make one before I die first.

So, so many bugs so far. When players are not hovering around the ice, their faces are literally falling off. Loop glitch is back. Getting constant freezes or stuck in the menu and have to close the game.

Combined with the issues we’ve seen the dev team have so far - commentary is horrific, NHL player likeness is getting dunked on hard, etc etc I can’t remember a launch this poorly and I’ve played every game since NHL 07 on Day 1

BAP this year is actually great. The one thing I wish the game added though was the ability to control your contract. I want my coach to bother me the second I’m able to get an extension asking for me to sign long term, or the coach not at all being interested in resigning me. Or even if I could hold out until an offer sheet comes. I feel like nobody really plays BAP the whole way through, or further than a year or two. And when they do they are usually moving from team to team but I think it would be sick to negotiate clauses, more money, more years, or decline resigning. Just a touch of realism to be added.

I see there is an option to create an online league between friends, where each user controls a team. Is it possible to set up a fantasy draft in this league, and if so can you use all-time rosters (Gretzky, Lemieux, etc.) for this draft? This used to be an option a few years ago and I’m wondering if you can do it in 27 (I don’t have the game yet). Thanks!
