It’s been out for a while. Odd there isn’t a discussion thread yet. What does everyone think?

Personally I really liked it. The art style is significantly less off putting than the tomorrrowverse. The animation was good not great. I give it a B+. Definitely a move in the right direction for the animated movies.

Pretty much the title, but I guess I should explain a bit better. Hello everyone. I'm not much of a comic book guy. Obviously I was into superheroes as a kid but generally as I grew older my interests went in different directions. Somehow, a review channel I watch did a big video on the Flash TV show (and how awful it is lol) which led to me getting random shorts mostly from DC animated movies and they seemed interesting enough to me. As the title says I'm somewhat of a newbie, I have a general-ish grasp on like the basic ideas for characters and some of the concepts of the universe but nothing in depth for any of them.

I looked a the viewing order post someone posted and from what I saw there isn't a concrete complete throughline but rather several clusters of semi-related things. I don't plan on watching series/shows (unless it's absolutely mandatory to understand stuff) and from what I can tell the big two "canons" are New 52 and Tomorrowverse. I'll probably watch both, but is there any benefit to watching either before the other for someone who is going in relatively blind? Does it even make sense to watch these if I'm not a comic book reader?

I used to be a huge Batman fan but after years of overexposure I am quite sick of the character. So you can imagine that I wasn't too keen on an adaptation of Knightfall. I understand why thsy made the film but even with the debuts of new animated projects Batman still gets more animated appearances. The character just feels hollow to me because of all the overexposure.

However if the film trilogy is a success I am hoping WB will commission animated stand alone films for other characters.

The shorts and episodes have been coming back on YouTube through the DC Kids channel, one video at a time. However, I'm pretty certain that they all say that DC Super Hero Girls is "available on digital" when it is no longer available for purchase on digital! It's been that way for years now!

I want to get into the animated movies and i was wondering where would be the best place to start and what order to go on from there!

It’s been years since I watched either of these shows but I have a day to just watch tv which one do you guys recommend?

I keep checking Amazon and Apple TV to see if it has dropped but nothing.

Physical media is mid September but can’t seem to find digital release.
