Went to see Iron Maiden in Harrison NJ last night and I wore my Jane Doe shirt. Dude walking by me calls it out and compliments it. When I respond with a hell yeah he asks if I'm going to the Saint Vitus show and I say I whiffed on tickets, but I'm on the wait list. Surely enough, he had an extra, we exchanged numbers and he just sent the ticket over!

Hard to believe JD is somehow 25. Jeezy creezy I feel old. Here's "the face" which I got tattoo'd in 2003, which is probably why it looks like it has put on a little weight (just like I have). Let's face it, it's been a long couple of decades, and yet this album still comprehensively crushes.

​Taking a shot in the dark here. I’m currently sitting on the Dice waitlist for the Converge & Lotion show at Saint Vitus on September 6, but figured I’d ask here in case anyone ends up with an extra ticket or can’t make it.

​I’ve honestly never done this or begged like this for a show before, I even tried messaging Saint Vitus directly on DM, but only got an automatic reply. I’ve been a huge Converge fan for years, but they’ve never toured my home country, Indonesia, and I’m moving away from NYC soon, so this is likely my only shot to see them live before heading back. I’ve watched their legendary Vitus sets on YouTube dozens of times over the years, so catching them there in person would mean the world to me and genuinely make my entire year.

Songs that feel so fast and explosive, but simultaneously, don't go super chaotic on the percussion front. I'm not looking for mathy complexities, I want it to be more of a rhythmic headbanger kind of thing

One close example i can think of, is march of the pigs by nine inch nails. It's super hard and high bpm, yet it has a simple structure really
