Vacuum Review Miele C3 Marin

Upvotes

TLDR, the Miele Marin is a cleaning machine that is a pleasure to use and simple to maintain.

Did a whole house clean today with my favorite vacuum, the Miele C3 Marin. In addition to the power nozzle, it included the XL parquet twister that tackles a first floor full of hard woods in wide swaths. This machine is quiet, powerful and fun to use.

It was time for a bag change, so I included a picture of the bag compartment to show how pristine the bag compartment is. All the dirt stays in the bag, and the only task I had was throwing out the old bag and putting in a new one. No parts to hand wash or air dry, no fine layer of dust left post-vacuuming.

Purchase Advice (U.S.) Sebo vs Miele and best model for dog hair.

Upvotes

I see a lot of back and forth of the Sebo and Miele vacuum. I have 2 large dogs that shed, medium length carpet and tile. Looking for recommendations of brand and models for lots of dog hair. I am willing to spend more to not replace it in couple years.

Purchase Advice (U.S.) What is the function of variable suction on the Sebo Felix?

Upvotes

I'm going to a local vacuum store to test drive multiple vacuums, but I was eyeing the Sebo Shark. I live in a rental, and I just want a vacuum for the two carpeted bedrooms and a large area rug. I prefer to sweep my linoleum (vinyl?) flooring, which is why the Felix seems a bit more than what I need. I'm used to not having that 180° steering ability and I never had a height adjustable vacuum before.

The only feature the Felix has but not the Dart that I'm curious about is the variable suction. Is that an important feature to have?

Purchase Advice (U.S.) Best electric hard floor mop self cleaning feature?

Upvotes

I own a bissell hard floor cleaner with the steam function and while it cleans good, having to take apart and clean the entire thing each time sucks. Especially when you are cleaning it out after pet messes. Its also very heavy. I know no matter what youll have to clean out a dirty water tank, and im fine with that. Its just having to clean 10 other parts of the machine sucks. Even though it isn't the best in terms of cleaning power, I was looking at the dyson hygiene model (basically the g2). Since the dirty water tank you just unscrew and dump out, and rinse it out easily with clean water. Same thing with the dry debris catcher after dumping it out. Only thing that worries me is people have mentioned theres a non waterproof part that you cannot get wet or else it'll fry the thing. Lastly they said the roller self clean and dry takes 30 minutes and is super loud.

Still considering that dyson but someone also mentioned a roborock model that will self clean and dry the roller. But mainly just has a dirty water tank that you empty out easily and can rinse easily. After that you just put it back together. Both the dyson and roborock seem a lot easier cleaning it out wise since its only rinsing 2 parts off rather than having to take apart, clean, and put back together 10 parts each time. Like I said the bissell wasn't too bad but when it came to pet messes the cleaning got a lot harder due to the smell, god forbid you forget to clean it out by one day then it gets even worse.

Would you recommend the dyson wash hygiene or the roborock 25? Or is there another brand you would recommend? I was tempted to get a miele or lg with the wet floor attachment, but it doesn't actually pick up the water. It only spits and sprays water. So i feel like it would just be pushing dirty water around after a while. Same thing with the $99 bissell steam only mop.

Edit: price range, I can afford premium i just want something that cleans decently without having to clean 10 parts out every time i use it. And 2: flooring type is hard floor (wood and tile only), thankfully i have no carpet at all.

Purchase Advice (U.S.) Anything better for pet hair on carpet that eufy x10 pro omni

Upvotes

Hey everyone, I really like robot vacuums, and I'm a big fan of the X10 Pro Omni, but it does seem a little lacking with pet hair. I have two dogs, shed a decent amount. I also have carpet and vinyl. I'd love a recommendation if there's better robot vacuums out there for pet hair specifically on carpet.

Purchase Advice (U.S.) Vacuum Recommendations - Shark User

Upvotes

I've been using Shark vacuums for the better part of a decade. I have no real complaints about them except that I replace it every 2 years, because parts are generally unavailable since they cycle models so often.

I wanted to get a new vacuum, so I wanted to post here to see what other options I have.

Current Vacuum: Shark UV900

What I love about this vacuum is the self cleaning roller. This is what I cannot find in other vacuums. My wife has long hair and it's everywhere. That self cleaning roller is amazing, I never once had to untangle hair from the vacuum rollers.

My floors are hardwood, but I have a lot of area rugs and runners that I vacuum as well. So the UV900 having a hardwood and carpet mode selector was always nice.

My biggest gripe with vacuums is that when you have to clean the vacuum, you become the vacuum cleaner lol.

I don't have a budget, if I can buy a 15 year vacuum I will gladly pay any price really.

Vacuum Collecting If I posted this for FREE on Facebook Marketplace, do you think someone would want it as a vacuum? Or is it just useless junk?

I am looking to get rid of this vacuum which still works. I'm not sure if leaving it on the curb or putting it on FB is worthwhile or if I should just put it in the junk pile for the junk people to haul away?

Vacuum Issues Update: stick vacuum has suction, brushes turning, nothing in canister. Fixed.

Update to yesterday's post. Hoover powerbrush stick vacuum was getting strong suction when placing hand against airhole behind canister, but vacuum wasnt pulling debris off floor very well and canister remained empty afterwards.
Pushed wire down into air hole and felt no blockage.

Removed brush roller cover. Cleared debris. Vacuum cleaner now filling canister again👍🏼

Purchase Advice (U.S.) Vacuum Recommendations for NYC apartment

Upvotes

Hi all,

Looking for recs for a vacuum cleaner. Deets below.

Apartment Info: 1.5 bedroom in NYC. Approximately 900 ft2. Floors are mostly hardwood with some tile in the kitchen but most of the hardwood is covered by Persian rugs. One cat who sheds kind of a lot.

Budget: Would prefer something under $200 if possible. Could maybe go up to $250 but would prefer not to.

Preferences: I’d prefer something smaller and lower profile for storage reasons. Previously had a stick vacuum and I think would prefer another one even if it’s corded. I understand people here are huge on canister vacuums for a number of reasons but I’m concerned about storing one. But I could potentially be swayed if it’s small enough and within budget.

LMK!

Vacuum Issues Vax Onepwr Blade 4 Won't turn on despite battery being fully charged

Upvotes

As the title says, when I press the power button on the unit itself without anything attatched it will not power on. There are no blockages from what I can tell on it. I also have the dustbin removed as well. Plugging the battery in doesn't work at all. I can see it is full charged as well when you push the button on the battery pack. Is there any advice on what I can maybe check?

Vacuum Issues Dyson shark detect vacuum keeps getting clogged

Upvotes

am I the only one having this issue with the Dyson shark…it’s a nice vacuum but it constantly gets clogged inside of the wand. right where it has the bend feature to get under couches all the dust or little plastic pieces gets stuck and then just keeps getting back up until it’s basically unusable and I have to clean it out…and at the same time the easy empty part keeps getting little dirt stuck to the magnetic part so it just doesn't close and ends up dumping stuff out when I don’t realize.

is anyone else having these issues with it?

Purchase Advice (Canada) Miele Miele Guard M1 Canister Vacuum

Upvotes

I am looking for advice. 2000sqft of hard floors with only a few rugs such as front door and mudroom. Floor is vinyl plank and tile. Lots of windows with ledges to vacuum, baseboards, and casings around windows.

We have a Dyson v11 torque without the hardwood floor roller. It's a terrible vacuum most likely cause of not using a hardwood roller. I just find it doesn't even have much power regardless of what roller is in use.

I did rough in central vac outlets from upstairs to the basement joists but nothing more. With all the piping and then 25-30' hose all the time it just doesn't interest me to put in the rest of the central vacuum system and that's why I'm considering a plug-in vac.

Today Costco is selling this Miele for $449 CDN. Thoughts for my scenario? We have a lot of dust and I figure a good vacuum and then ducts cleaned will help.

Vacuum Issues Bissell 3988 Type 1 cracked hose

Thumbnail

Upvotes

Hose cracked near the base of the hose attachment that connects to body. Tried to remove the plastic sleeve that the hose threads onto (2nd pic)

Looks like the diameter of the hose is smaller that the part that it’s supposed to thread onto. I alsoo cannot remove that part to possibly attempt to thread it on (4th pic).

I cannot find replacement parts anywhere. Bissell is out of stock. Amazon does not carry it. Tried 3rd party vendors but model numbers do not match.

Vacuum is only a year old and works fine. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Purchase Advice (Non-U.S.) What to get? Miele S1 Guard vs M1 cat and dog vs used Complete C3 Jubilee for a small appartment

Post image
Upvotes

Hi all i made a post a few days ago here asking for recs. I initially wanted a stick vacuum to save space + to reduce hassle but i think i am fine with a classic vacuum, i don't like the heavy handle of a cordless machine.

i have hardwood/tile floors, i live in a cramped <30m^2 appartment, i have one cat and no carpet (might get a very small wool rug one day). I don't need huge suction, although i would like an upholstery attachment/function to clean my cat's cat tree and couch every once in a while. I ideally want something that's easy to use on the daily.

I found the pictured s1 guard vacuum for around 240€ new in a local shop.

The M1 guard i have found online from a person that bought it and supposedly hasn't even opened its box, they claim to have warranty still, they ask for 300€. I read this one is heavier than the S1.

Then i also found a C3 Jubilee that is used but refurbished by a guy (so no warranty or proof of his work), 180€. I am inclined towards the S1 because it's the only one i saw physically and i really liked the feel of knob to change the different settings lol + seemed like it was a good fit for my needs. But everyone here raves about the M1 cats and dogs and its also new so i wonder what i should do.

I could look for Sebo online but it's more expensive i think, and overall it seems like the Miele is a more popular choice where i live, so i thought i could more easily find spare parts and cheap original bags sold by people online.

Feel free to recommend any other brands or models! PS I also wondered whether to get the Henry vacuum, i love the look of it, but in france its price similarly to the cheaper Miele

Purchase Advice (Non-U.S.) VAC Experiences and recommendation

Upvotes

Hi everyone!

I’m facing a huge dilemma because I’ve read everything I possibly could, but I still can’t make up my mind.

Many people say that DYSON is the best vacuum cleaner, whilst others reckon it breaks down too often for the price. I’ve got a TINECO S7 Stretch; I really like it – I’ve had it for a few months now and it’s worked flawlessly so far – but I’ve read that TINECO isn’t a reliable brand, though we’ll see about that later.

My current problem, however, is this: I have an upholstery cleaner and a wet-and-dry vacuum cleaner, but I’d like a vacuum cleaner that I can take with me in the car and use to vacuum the upholstery as well, because I have a dachshund.

This is what I know: the corded MIELE or SEBO models are the best in the world, but I need a cordless, upright vacuum cleaner.

It needs to remove dog hair from the upholstery, and I need to be able to use it in the car as well, because I don’t live in a detached house and I can’t just use it on the sofa.

If something spills on the carpet, I just need to be able to grab it quickly and give it a quick go over.

Which is the best upright vacuum cleaner I could buy at the moment?

The ones I’ve looked at so far are: the TINECO PURE ONE S50 Pro Pet Smart cordless vacuum cleaner, and the Dyson V8–V10.

EU
Price range: 300-400 euro

Thanks for sharing your experiences, and please do help me out xD

Vacuum Issues Which way to put filter… details below

Upvotes

Eureka NEU188A

From filters at

https://images.thdstatic.com/catalog/pdfImages/28/28c87f21-dc1b-4ff0-8ec5-431bcde7218c.pdf

Does “inside first” mean down and closest to the debris tank (ie the last filter that air passes through)?

Phrased differently is it dark foam UP and closest to motor and white fabric down closest to debris compartment?

Thank you.

Bought all the panels and donor machine to switch a white Sebo c3.1 to a red c3.1. Most of the panels are still available from sebo directly. They only part they dont have is the rear bag door holder iin grey. I ended up finding one, but shipping took forever.

In the meantime what comes up for sale as soon as I bought all the parts? A brand new red C3.1 with an et1 powerhead. Just gave her a wipe down, some wax and polish.

Vacuum Review DO NOT BUY THE NEW MODEL KENMORE 600

Thumbnail
gallery
Upvotes

I got raving reviews about the kenmore 600 series and bought the new model bc4030 vacuum when there was generally no info on it. I decided to take the dive and thought to myself people are praising this vacuum as a budget option. My thought process was Kenmore has to be a good company that releases good stuff with all this praise I read about 3 years ago. Kenmore what the fuck is this shit you pulled? Firstly they advertise this new “Hair eliminator tech” that this new model has on the main brushroll…. Shit doesn’t work at ALL. I literally clean and take care of this thing after every cleaning (Picture was the first time I checked for hair which was a while after I purchased it…). Wanna know whats even more bullshit? I also cleaned the pet powerbrush attachment after every use. Guess what… THE FUCKING THING EXPLODED ON ME WHILE I WAS CLEANING MY COUCH. DO NOT BUY THIS NEW MODEL KENMORE GARBAGE THEIR QUALITY HAS GONE DOWN THE GUTTER IT HAS BEEN ONLY 3 YEARS AND SHITS BREAKING.

Vacuum Collecting 2 kirby vacuums found, what now?

Upvotes

Hi everyone,
I’m a person who likes to be part of miscellaneous auctions as a side hustle to support my family.
I come across many vacuums that I resell or part out on eBay (mostly shark, bissell or Dyson models).
I recently got something in my hands that I’ve never owned.
Kirby Ultimate G Diamond Edition Vacuum with all attachments (or most attachments) with a carpet shampoo system kit.
Also a Kirby G4 80th Anniversary Edition.
Both work and are in decent shape.
Now I honestly will feel bad to part them out, these vacuums are literally tanks!
And honestly I have no use for them. Me and my wife already invested a good vacuum.
My question is, how much would they be worth?
I can post some pictures a little later.
