A common thing I see here.... Enjoy my shitty photo shop meme
I made these using the same hardware/software combination. No I will not share how.

The situation of the servers at work
Today they moved me to a different area at work, and in the middle of the corridors I came across this. I won’t lie, it sent shivers down my spine.

At first I thought: That's a unique angled design for a Trac Pad

Almost accidentally sold this to a customer because they were looking for a cheap open box burner.
Apparently this had been delivered to our store about 10 days ago. Whoever had created this open box label neglected to acknowledge the fact that it had suffered significant water damage and started growing fungus inside of the box.

Our WiFi “solution” for an office of 20-ish people
It is slightly worse than it looks, because the is no front to the case, so the mifi isn’t even enclosed.
Every time a user tells me about the “system” I don’t believe them for a bit, because I forget we actually implemented this “wireless solution”.
It’s been like this for years. Pre-Covid there would be 20 people all trying to use this at once. Our most commonly deployed laptops don’t have Ethernet ports. We own the building and have Ethernet ports all over. We have POE switches. We have enterprise wireless solutions at other campuses. We have extra access points sitting in a storage room. No idea why we just said eff it to this place.

I'm gonna make it so dry for you.
This GPU was hitting over 100C hotspots on Furmark. I thought this was a really good example of what happens to thermal paste when it gets old. It develops these little air pockets you can see in the image. I had scraped some off the middle here already. How people tolerate the loud fans I don't know. Isopropyl alcohol and fresh paste sorted it out 👌

GPU posted in envelope with no padding at all. Busted corner and dead GPU. Wasteful!

It appears that the memory has developed a fault...
My HyperX ram I bought back in late 2020 developed a few faults within 8 minutes. The Kingston support rep replied with "It appears that the memory has developed a fault...".
They replaced it with no problem, so kudos to them.

A photo of a computer screen running PassMark MemTest86. The top section shows system info in green and white text, identifying an Intel Core i7 processor and Kingston DDR4 RAM. The bottom section of the screen is entirely filled with bright red error messages indicating memory address failures. The test timer reads just 0:08:01, and the "Errors" counter displays a massive count of 1728.

I Wonder If It'll Boot
I was dropping old devices off at the PCLM warehouse today and started chatting with the crew about the worst carnage we've seen and they pulled this gem out.

Yeah I'd say so
