Has anyone moved into 20 university ave? New student moving to Waterloo, got enough stresses on my plate without having to deal with this awful move in as well… had issues with the Unifi access set up to the building and they wont help me out. Management has said theyll email me and fix it but it has been 4 days and not a word from them

Hey there just subletting my place for the Winter term in 2027, it's at 168 King St North, under the MARQ name. They do not do 4 months so I had to get the 12 months and sublet during the months I am not around. It is a 5 bedrom 5 bathroom (ensuite bathroom with each bedroom) apartment, with my subletting just being the one bathroom + bedroom. There are currently 4 other roommates, 2 of which I have confirmed will be staying one, one is a girl and the other a guy.

Rent: 1050/month + ONLY HYDRO (the rest is included)

Move in-date would be within the first week of January if I am not wrong. Will get back to anyone if they ask on that.

Place is about a 3-5 minute walk from WLU, and a 24 minute walk from UW (or 10-15 minutes by bus). Has a gym, a study area, laundry room, and parking spots in the basement. WiFi is really strong here, and the management can even respond with maintenance within a day in front of your door if need be (they are basically really quick to reply and act).

The bedroom itself comes furnished with a bedframe, mattress, chair, table, and drawers.
Living room has standard furniture which is a coich, chair, table, and TV.
The kitchen has an oven, stove, dishwasher, fridge, and microwave. It also comes with some barstools beside the table if you want to eat there.

Bus routes include the 7 and 91 right ouside the door, with the GO Bus stop being about 8 minutes by foot, and the UW bus stop being about 6 minutes by foot with a rotating bus schedule that includes 3 different buses that can take you there.

There is a pet policy in place but from what I can tell from friends in the building is that they are not really strict just asking for like a singular document to sign so they know if there is ever an accident or anything they can account for your pet being in your room.

The term is 26 Fall and 27 Winter. Located in Village 1 South, it is a traditional single so you won't have a roommate. The cost of the room is around 4600 CAD.

I'm architecture student and I wasn't aware that architecture program takes place in Cambridge not main campus. I only realized there's a 2 hour commute after I signed the contract, so now I have to cancel the residence contract. If I can find someone to replace me then I'll be able to get a reduction on the cancellation fee, so pls somebody help
