Birthright citizenship is pretty easy to understand. No matter which way it is perceived, it does not protect the illegal parents. Sure, let the kid stay. The child deserves a fair chance and they should have it. The parents do not get a fair chance now. They had the chance to fill out the paperwork, follow the process and do it the right way. No, it is absolutely not okay to separate the child from their parents and that’s why the child goes with them. Everything is only how it is perceived by someone. We can read the same sentences and see it completely different. That’s what’s happening with birthright citizenship. It does not mean that you’re protected here because you were born here (to me) some people think it means that you are. The answer is really simple. Follow the law (which is expected by every living person) and there is no issue. Break the law, face the consequences. It is not okay to break the law because someone thinks the law isn’t fair. That doesn’t make sense
