Imu's appearance on the island over the last thirteen or fourteen chapters has felt strangely manic.

I don't mean Imu's actions due to being in the lower realm or feeling nostalgic over old faces.

The writing itself feels like it's the first time in a while Oda is making this up on the fly. I had my problems with Wano and Egghead but both arcs had a sense of being planned even if Oda didn't know everything along the way until he was writing and drawing it. To some extent everything on Elbaf until the end of the Rocks flashback felt that way too whereas Imu's appearance by comparison gives me the sense that Oda felt compelled to go much bigger than the five elders on Egghead.

We had Shamrock but he dipped then Gunko possessed Imu felt like a potential boss and a way to have conflict with Imu at a distance but Oda's obsession with princesses in story and tying her to Brook meant that couldn't happen and since domi reversi Loki wasn't happening either (which would have been an excellent candidate for the arc climax fight ), Oda hit the fuck it Imu is now coming here in person. And while I could be very wrong, it just feels like Imu's appearance wasn't on the table until very recently as in sometime late last year.

Imu Nerona's first physical appearance in the series feels very erratic and not for the better due to less planning going into it.

Why is Beckman constantly glazed so bad?

People always talk about Portrayal, Narrative and Statements when a character is featless but how is Beckmann glazed above Marco when Marco has superior Statements, Portrayal and Feats?🤔

1. The Whitebeard Pirates were factually the Strongest Crew in the World.

WBP > RHP.

1. His "Feat" against Kizaru.

Beckman tried to intimidate Kizaru, failed and got ignored by him.

Marco actually fought the Admirals and held them back.

1. His Databook statement.

Beckman is glazed to Yonko Level because of a mere Databook statement but why are we cherry picking here?

If we consider Beckman's statement as canon, we also have to consider all the other statements as canon🤷🏽‍♂️

Therefore Marco = Admiral's

Shanks = Admiral's🤷🏽‍♂️

1. Statements and Portrayal.

Marco was glazed by the Gorosei, they put him on a level with the 4 Yonko ( which he isn't, I ain't claiming he's a Top Tier)

Marco was also glazed by Big Mom who knows his strength, she admits she needs her FP to put him down.

Don't get me wrong, I like Moria and his ability and theme.

The beginning felt strong until it turned into the usual shonen good guy vs bad guy plot. It wasn't as heavyweight as Arabasta or (obviously) CP9 arc. Skypiea, too, seems a more wonderful arc.

Thriller Bark seems to mainly introduce Moria as the Shichibukai and hint the upcoming war (with the arrival of Kuma). And even the fights are forgettable (maybe except Zorro's).

Let's assume Carrots joins in Zoa, Yamato after Wano, Caribou who knows, after during Wano maybe? And Loki just accepts Luffy's request. What could their roles be, most assumed Carrot would be the look out for instance.

Personally, Yamato and Carrot aren't amazing characters, I wouldn't have minded (get rid of the I'm Oden cope).

How would the crew react? I don't think anyone would mind Carrot but the rest is give and take.

Tbh idk why Oda was hyping up Yamato to join so much if he was just ganna decide to make her basically irrelevant, like what's even her purpose in the story if she doesn't join nor develop in a meaningful way?

Caribou was on the Sunny for so long he may as well have just joined them.
