Yarn:
The samples were made with:

• Cardiff Cashmere Classic — 100% cashmere, 112 m / 25 g (Small size 72g)
• 400 m / 100 g merino held together with Lang Cashmere Dreams

The shawl works well with a variety of soft merino, cashmere and alpaca yarns. You don’t need to use cashmere — any soft, non-scratchy yarn with a slightly fuzzy or matte texture can work well.

Here are some yarns that I recommend:

• Regia Premium Merino Yak — 58% Merino, 28% Polyamide, 14% Yak, 400 m / 100 g, held single
• Symfonie Terra — 75% Merino, 25% Nylon, 380 m / 100 g
• Casasol Merino Fingering – Teñido A Mano — 100% Merino, 400 m / 100 g
• Cardiff Cashmere Classic — 100% Cashmere, 112 m / 25 g
• Casagrande Top Cashmere — 100% Cashmere, 112 m / 25 g
• Lang Cashmere Premium — 100% Cashmere, 115 m / 25 g
• BC Garn Babyalpaca — 100% Alpaca, 250 m / 50 g This will create a lighter, airier fabric rather than a very dense one.
• Knitting for Olive Merino — 100% Merino, 250 m / 50 g You can use smaller needles if needed to achieve the desired fabric.
• Rico Design Essentials Fine Fine Merino — 100% Merino, 200 m / 50 g
• Kremke Soul Wool Merry Merino 220 GOTS — 100% Merino, 220 m / 50 g Although it is a combed merino, it has a matte appearance and a soft, non-slippery feel.

Yardage: As a general guideline, I recommend around 350–450 m per 100 g.

For the Small size, you’ll need approximately 300–350 m. Since the shawl is adjustable, the total yardage will depend on the finished size you choose.

Size:
The pattern includes two suggested sizes: Small and Large. The shawl is adjustable, so you are also welcome to make it smaller or larger according to your preference and available yarn.

Level of skill required:
Intermediate

Written pattern with abbreviations, diagrams, and video tutorials

Tester requirements:

Pattern Details:

The Pincer Cardigan is a drop-shoulder cardigan worked top-down with two different colourwork options to pick from. The body is worked flat, ending in 1 by 1 ribbing. The arms are picked up and worked in the round, and a double-knit button band and collar are used to provide structure. German short rows are implemented to help with shaping the back and the collar.

Hi! So I designed my first sweater and recently finished knitting up my size (M-100cm bust), and I've been wanting to start working on a pattern for sizes XS to at least 5XL (about 80 to 150cm bust range).

Hi! I’m looking for test knitters for my new Pamela Sweater, with testers needed for sizes XS-5XL.

Pamela is a generous, worsted-weight sweater worked top-down, with a European shoulder construction and full sleeves. It takes its name from Pamela Anderson and was partly inspired by the ease of the wide, relaxed shapes she has been wearing in recent years. The sleeves have sloping decreases down the front, finishing with wide 2x2 rib cuffs, alongside a deep ribbed hem and double-folded neckband.

The pattern has been professionally tech edited and the test deadline is the 6th of November.

Sizing:

Finished bust/chest: 91.5–171.5 cm / 36–67.5”

Recommended positive ease: 15–20 cm / 6–8”

Gauge:

19 sts x 26 rows/rnds = 10 cm / 4” in Stockinette stitch on 5 mm / US 8 needles.

The sample is knitted in my Worsted Grey yarn (33% BFL / 33% Merino / 33% Zwartbles, 200 m per 100 g), but you do not need to use my yarn to take part. Any suitable worsted-weight yarn that achieves gauge is welcome.

If you would like to use the original yarn, successful testers will receive a 20% discount on the yarn needed for their sweater.

Estimated yarn requirements are 6-10 x 100 g skeins, depending on size, with full size yardage included in the application form.

I have received some concerns via the comments and via DM over the use of AI. I just want to clear this up. There is no AI unless you request it. Every thing you do in the app is driven by the in phone engine. I will not send your crotchet work video or image to any external area, without YOU sending it. I built this solution to be privacy first as I know many of you love your creations, but don’t always want to share with others. This app will include a library as well, the ability to track your stashes on your phone, the ability to keep a row count, all done on your phone.

I understand why some of you were concerned, but my intent is to build a best in class tool that will help you level up and become pros if that is what you want. The Champaca Sweater is knit top-down and features Chinese floral and architectural stranded colorwork motifs. The sweater is started in the round, first with a foldover collar. German short rows for shaping the back. The bottom portion of the yoke is worked flat in parallel with the sleeves. After casting off the sleeves, the rest of the body is worked in the round. The bottom portion of the sleeves are seamed together. Finally, the ends of the sleeves are picked up and hemmed.

Name of pattern: Celtic Braid Set (Headband & Scarf)

About the Construction:

• 🧶 The Headband: Knitted almost entirely in a deeply textured Celtic braid cable pattern, finished with neat ribbed edges for an elastic and comfortable fit.
• 🧣 The Scarf: Features a cozy, fully reversible brioche stitch for the main body. The ends then transition into a spectacular volumetric 3D Celtic braid pattern that is equally beautiful on both sides, making the ends look plush and unusual, finished with cozy pom-poms.

Needles/hooks required: For Scarf:

• Size US 6 / 4 mm circular needles with a cable length of at least 16″ / 40 cm.
• Size US 7 / 4.5 mm straight or circular needles

For Headband:

• US 0 / 2.0 mm  straight needle (1 piece)
• US 1 / 2.25 mm circular needles, 16” / 40 cm long. Note: If you don't have this size, you can use US 1.5 / 2.5 mm circular needles instead.

Pom pom template: A cardboard template or a small box measuring approx. 2.7″ x 2.1″ x 0.6″ / 7 x 5.5 x 1.5 cm. Scissors. 

Yarn requirements: For this design, I chose Lang Yarns Magnolia because it is incredibly soft, plush, and completely non-irritating to the skin, which is essential for close-fitting accessories like a headband and a scarf. At the same time, it provides wonderful winter warmth and highlights the volumetric texture of the Celtic braid beautifully.

Original Yarn: Lang Yarns Magnolia (85% Virgin Wool - Merino Extrafine Superwash, 15% Nylon; 273 yds / 250 m per 100 g skein). Yarn Weight: Medium / Worsted (4).

Total Amount Required:

• approx. 54 g /1.9 oz (approx. 147 yds /135 m) - for Headband
• approx. 120 g / 4.2 oz (approx. 328 yds / 300 m), including pom poms - for Scarf

You will need 2 skeins for the set. Samples shown in color: 0006.

If substituting, look for a Medium / Worsted weight yarn with similar yardage (approx. 273 yds / 250 m per 100 g). Merino wool blends or soft wool chains will work best to achieve the same texture and stretch.

Level of skill required: Intermediate, Pre-Intermediate.

Overview

Fit: +5-10 cm bust ease at widest point

Construction: Top down; back panel, front panel, joined in the round.

The Lobster Tank is knit in a mosaic stitch top down. The tank has a positive ease of 5 - 10cm around the bust. The lobster mosaic is a fixed size, therefore it will appear larger on smaller sizes, and smaller on larger sizes. 

This is intended to be a 8 week test knit, however, adjustments will be made as needed.

What is asked of you: Feedback is golden for me! I'm a long time knitter and designer but I am new to grading patterns. I would love for you to post your work but this is not necessary. I will set up weekend office hours via google meet so we can all chat! It is not necessary for you to join this but I wanted a dedicated time for questions and community <3

Note: Model is wearing a size medium with a bust measurement of 89cm and a waist measurement of 69cm. 

Material 

When choosing your color yarn, look for yarns with high contrast. Yarns with low contrast will make the lobster harder to see (trust me I tried). To make sure your yarns are high contrast, take a picture of both colors and turn the photo to black and white, if the yarns look similar they are too low contrast. Color A will be the main forward color for the body (white in the sample) and color B will be the main forward color for the lobster (red in the sample) and is used for the edges.

Yarn: 2 colors Fine/Sport cotton blend

4 mm needle 60cm or 80cm for flat knitting and knitting in the round

3 mm needle 40cm for neckline and edge details

Note: you can just use a needle of any length if you are comfortable with magic loop

Stitch markers (for marking the beginning of a round)

Tapestry needle (for weaving in ends)

Name of pattern: Leaves from the vine sweater

Needles required: 4.5mm for the body (or size that meets gauge) and 3.5mm for the ribbing (or one full size below the size used for the body). 2 cable needles of the same size/ smaller are needed.

Gauge: 25sts by 26rows in pattern is 11x11cm (there is a mistake in the screenshot).

Yarn requirements: Luna by Hillesvag or Cascade 220: 500g (550g) 600g (650g) 700g (750g) 800g (850g). For alternative yarns, be attentive to the stitch definition it offers.

Level of skill required: Intermediate, written and charted. Construction is done first by working two shoulder pieces, then back and front separately starting from the shoulder pieces, then joining at the armholes, the rest of the body and the sleeves are worked in the round.

Tester requirements: final photos and regular updates

Testing deadline: October 2026
