lol that reminds me of going to the Philippines. If I speak English normally they didn’t understand me, but if I spoke English with an exaggerated Filipino accent it was no problem
• u/Sintuition 2h ago I went to Manila for work last year and I've found the the Philippinas in my country have a thicker accent than in the Philippines. Might have just been whom I was interacting with, or they were familiar with the NZ accent.
