Hi guys have just booked a medical review to try to revoke my heavy load status, however I don’t have any memo that says I’m fit to carry heavy load nor do I have a memo saying I’m not fit to carry heavy load. Is it possible to get it revoked or Shld I go get a memo first?

- SIT Test did relatively okay i think. tried to help out as much as possible and tried to stay calm. altho planning stage not the best pretty avg i wld say.
-SIT Test Peer Appraisal, I think i was ranked top 3 to 5 on average.
-Peer Appraisal, Average around 4-5?
-BTP- did not do good cause of IA. only got 19/30
- also indicated interest and 10/10 for motivation to lead

i would say i did not really stand out. but i do my best in trainings and all. did not rly mess up in training. sad to say maybe i was abit invisible? not exceptionally good but not bad.

also tried to test water, abt signing on and was told that im eligible to go for ocs. so not sure if that helps.

Hello there, I'll be doing my ns next year. Although, I don't suffer from hair loss my hairline is m-shaped making my forehead look big. I am quite worried that I will be picked on by my peers and bunkmates for this after I go botak. Are guys like me a common sight in ns?

Why has the SAF allowed some doctors to be vocationalised as medics in the SAF while serving their NS?

The need to utilise doctors in their professional role has always been recognised by the SAF. National Servicemen with recognised medical qualifications to practise in the SAF will have to be trained to operate in the military environment before being commissioned as Medical Officers. Was on MC at the time but still heard this from a platoon mate when I came back to endorse my MC.

At 4am, one of my platoon mates wanted to go piss. Then he saw this shadow and some weird sound coming from a toilet stall along with the hand moving suspiciously.

He knew from the ears (one of my platoon mates had very distinctive ears) that he was the one inside. Then 3 other people also saw the same shadow that exact same day when we were told after various PTs to go back to bunk as they wanted to wash their faces and shower.

Long story short bro was gooning with the door open. He did this constantly, daily... until we kept finding pubic hair on the floor during area cleaning. 💀💀💀

He eventually OOC'd and downpes to E1 + excuse firearms for 2 months then got posted out early before POP...

And as far as I know he uses Reddit too..

I've always heard about SAF kena tekan like siao especially those in commando but rarely about SCDF.

Only saw cases of regular pushing NSF into the well and another case nsf was left alone fighting fire.

I indicated my interest in command school particularly ocs because I generally like to lead but like my stats so far in BMT not v good compared to my company and cohort cause a lot of ppl did get silver for ippt. I managed to pass everything my ippt was close to 70pts, I put 10/10 for interest for sit test, also I think I did well in the planning stage cuz everyone liked my idea and I was the one presenting soo I think I did okays for that, but didn't rlly stand out in my company but I got uni placement alr.

Hmm my peer appraisal quite mid also HAHAHA cuz was enhanced batch didn't rlly managed to bond with peeps but I think my peer appraisal for the sit test was quite good cause I did like volunteer when needed and some or if not most put me into top 3-5 for the appraisal.

BUT one more bad part is I only managed to pass my ippt very last minute and I had to redo my ifc because I was falling sick quite abit towards the end.

Just wanted to know the chances or any opinions of getting posted to ocs/scs thankyouu! HOPING I could at least can go scs..

For context I enlisted on 30th June 2026, and just graduated BMT and pop-ed last week.

My first ever payslip was on 16th July
then my 2nd month payslip was on 6th August

but now is 7th september going to 8th september already, I just want to know if there’s any way
I can clarify which day I’ll received my NS Pay

like on the 9th? 10th? It will be much easier to account my financing if I know the actual dates.

We just POP now in our block leave waiting to receive our next unit posting, quite nervous and excited but bad a question about PES B2 vocations.

Got a bunkmate who’s PES B2 (tried to appeal it, rejected old elbow injury with surgery way back). No excuses though, he’s fully cleared physically and doesn’t look any different from the rest of us in training. He even has a FFI cert Cat A saying fit for SCS/OCS but the certificate only lasts for 1 year, not sure if it overrides the PES status.

Guy’s been doing well though IPPT silver, marksman for BTP, was IC for section and platoon at different points, just got best in platoon award.

B2 rules him out of OCS (since we do not have SIT test or SOC) whether performance like this actually gives B2 guys a chance into SCS, or even combat vocations like infantry/guards, or if manpower needs basically override everything regardless of how well you do.

Anyone here been B2 and actually landed SCS or combat vocations, or seen someone who did? Or is it pretty much locked into support/technical roles no matter what you show in BMT?

Just curious if anyone is/has been in a similar situation before.

Background: downpes to C9 halfway during NS and got posted out of a combat unit to become a PA for final year of NS obligations. Its been almost 6 years since ORD and have yet to get called up for reservist.

I have the following exemptions on a permanent basis- field training, grenades & explosives, handling of firearms, live firing/firing of blanks.

What are the chances I get called up for reservist in the coming years and what role can I even be siitable for? Appreciate if anyone can share their experiences of pes C9 reservist.

First of all sorry for ignorance, almost-30 year old uncle here.

This ICT we were issued watches and was told to run SLOWLY and keeping heart rate under certain number. We did a 3K in like 30-35 min which felt super waste time. Could've fast gamed it like we did as an NSF where we did a 5k battalion run every mon and wed in < 30 min.

There's supposed to be some health benefit in running slow that the PTI didnt explain v well.

Can someone explain 😂 is it to keep us from overexerting?
