Wholesome Moments I curated a book display at my local library

Post image

It's about local history.

A book display for the month of August is about the history of my hometown in Connecticut.

I like to learn about history plus I'm interested in local history. I put it up yesterday at my local library in Rockville, Connecticut.

Happy August!

Our local library has a dedicated local history room. There's also a historical society in my hometown where a lot of history is stored as well. I enjoy learning about local history.

Wow, I love that! My hometown Norwich, NY would really benefit from something like that. There is so much history all around New England.

Do you have a favorite aspect about your local history?

What's your favorite fact about Vernon?

Mine does too! (Medford, MA). When they rebuilt the library a few years ago they added a decent sized local history room (although i think there may have been a section in the old building too). Our historical society is pretty robust too and post on social media a lot.
