[COMMISSION][LA, USA][Fair price][11/15] Tarp with bug net

Hey y’all, I’m looking for some help with a tarp with a built in bug net. I can supply the tarp and the 0.5 No see-um bug mesh. 

Tarp would likely be a 7x9 silpoly tarp from Borah gear, and the mesh a 0.5oz noseeum mesh from Ripstopbytheroll.

I’d like about 5’ height of mesh around the perimeter of the tarp, preferably with an entry way at each end (I would just use a simple A-frame ridge line setup for this.) I’m not sure the best way to secure the entryways (maybe hook and loop?), but I’m open to design ideas. Obviously, I’d need it to still be bug secure.

I’d like this tarp to be as light as possible. Under 24oz would be sweet (maybe that’s asking too much). I’d sacrifice an entryway at one end if need be. Tarp is just under 10oz.

Not sure what this would cost, but I’m open to paying a fair price. I’ve reached out to a few UL tarp companies to see if they would do this for me, but no luck. If anybody has any brands to recommend that I could reach out to, that would also be great.

I have a trip on 11/19 and it would be great to have it by then, but if that’s a dealbreaker, I’d still be down to wait longer.

Looking to build a small, 16L minimal backpack. Mostly out of Cordura 500D, with a panel in 210D. Almost no external features, only a top pocket for small things, clam opening, a couple pockets inside, and a laptop sleeve. Small and light. I have a Lone Rider MotoTent V2. I despise the inner that comes with it, and was hoping to find someone that could make an as-much-mesh-as-possible inner. Ideally, I would want an inner that was almost completely mesh, except for the bathtub floor and reinforcement points.

Obviously, I want something with the same dimensions as the existing inner.

What's the policy for commission requests to replicate a discontinued bag with personalized modifications? My Peak Design 10L Sling v1 has finally broken (teeth has ripped away from the body) and besides a potential repair - I want to know if it's possible for a bag maker to fully replicate the bag with tweaks. The v2 just isn't in the same ballpark at all - it took Peak a while to send me a warranty replacement which I'm super impressed + very grateful for but it's just not the same.

Tweaks that come to mind are removing the two capture attachment points, making the height a little taller, a more comfortable strap. What kind of cost would we be looking at? Is it even possible for a maker to source materials for one-offs like this? It even transpired that I could send them the bag to reuse all the metal hardware.

This has been the perfect bag for a 14" MPB and some pouches / accessories for work / EDC in general AND it's done double camera duty transporting a Z8, 14-24, 70-200, batteries, chargers, and accessories AND perfectly fitting a Z8 with 70-200 f2.8 mounted. Just can't find anything else like it.

That's it really, I like the tent, but the mesh is just so delicate and I would really like it out of a bit more durable mesh as it's intended for a thru hike so I'd like to make a new inner for it out of more durable materials

I'm looking to have a 2p inner version of the X-Dome 1+ made, basically filling in the vestibule with interior instead. I love the tent but it's just a tad too small inside and would be much better if it was a normal rectangular inner! I also want to sew a zipper on the back wall so there are two identical doors, which I'd like to have done though I may be able to do it myself. If there is somwhere I could go that could do this, that would be welcome as well!

I'm not sure exactly what I'm looking for here, I'm sort of trying to get an idea. Basically just trying to do a 1:1 copy of stock fly. I have a copper spur ul2, (pictured, as well as an older model I need to repair the pole on, that I would like to do this for as well at some point but, the one pictured is the current one) that I wanted to try and make a polyester fly for, mainly because I really prefer the non sag attributes. But, after looking into it, I don't know that I'd be capable of handling such a task on my own and thought it'd be worth a try to see what others have to say! Sorry if this doesnt fit the normal criteria! I was sent here from another sub! The fabric is a bit expensive so I'd rather someone who knows what they're doing handle it than me, but i could probably do the little stuff like guyout points and door toggles, but the main cutting and sewing of the fly is a bit daunting!

Hello! I am looking to commission a custom, lightweight, everyday carry (EDC) backpack. I am located in Arkansas, USA. I have a healthy budget of $500 for this project and a flexible timeline, as this is a personal passion project.

Because I want to minimize weight as much as possible, my goal is to make this out of Dyneema Composite Fabric (DCF) or a similar high-performance laminate. I currently do not have physical patterns or sketches, so I am looking for a maker who can either help me pattern this from scratch or adapt an existing simple daypack pattern they already use.

Here are the target specifications:

• Capacity: 25 to 30 Liters (simple, clean everyday backpack style).
• Torso Size: 19.75 inches.
• Primary Material: Dyneema Composite Fabric (e.g., 2.92 oz or 5.0 oz DCF Hybrid for durability).
• Waterproofing: I would highly prefer a fully waterproof, seam-taped or seam-sealed interior.
• Shoulder Straps: Lightly padded and ergonomic to support daily carry weights.
• Main Feature: A suspended laptop sleeve on the interior back panel to protect my computer from drops.

Since my budget is $500, it should comfortably cover the raw Dyneema and specialized hardware costs (typically $100–$150) while leaving a fair rate for your labor.

Older version I inherited had a zip off bag, has since been lost. Looking to get one built/upgraded. Can map out the U-shaped zipper and send ample pictures. Here is info on the OEM one:

The cost is the cost, don’t really care about that. Would like within the next 6-9 months.

I’m looking to commission an ultralight in cabin dog carrier with dimensions of 23cm x 30cm x 40cm that I’d like to be under 0.5kg. I’m happy to pay whatever it costs for someone who is capable of doing this.

I was thinking it could be made of ultra PE fabric or something comparable and have a rigid frame of titanium or similar, but I’m open to any design and materials that would make this possible.

Project: I am looking to commission a custom front-pocket cardholder. I want to replicate the layout of an old Barneys New York wallet but using technical fabrics. The image here is another brand's rendition of the same design.

I want it to match the Slate (greenish-grey), grey, or navy material used in Pioneer Carry wallets (which is a 3-ply high-density nylon ripstop with a matte finish). I am looking for a maker who can source an equivalent fabric like Challenge ECOPAK EPLX or a matte PU-coated ripstop nylon.

Budget/Timeline:

I am flexible depending on the cost of sourcing the specific material. Not in a huge rush for delivery.
