I wanted to post a general reminder of a few subreddit rules due to an increase in users trying to treat the subreddit as a place for simply sharing 'dick pics' to garner sexual attention and a few users providing sexual commentary on post-op photos.
Please remember that the scope of this subreddit is narrowly focused and intended to be a resource for those undergoing or considering adult male circumcision.
1.) Photos
While you may encounter explicit photos of penises on the subreddit due to the nature of the topic, this isn't a "dick pic" subreddit and explicit images should only be shared if they are reasonably necessarily to illustrate a thread.
What counts as being reasonably necessarily? — You were recently circumcised (i.e. the surgery was less than 1 year ago).
If you were circumcised more than a year ago, we very likely don't need to see your penis unless there’s some underlying question or concern.. This 1 year date is an arbitrary cut-off, but was chosen to allow people enough time to get reassurance that their dick isn't about to fall off and post subsequent status updates without it turning into someone simply posting "dick pics" to garner sexual attention.
If you try to post a photo and it's been over a year since you were circumcised, the thread will probably be locked and/or removed. Since it's clear the user didn't read the subreddit rules in these instances, the user may also receive a temp. ban to ensure that they read the removal reason and don't continue posting more photos to the subreddit. Typically, if a user replies to the ban message indicating they read and understand, the ban will be lifted. If I remove the temp. ban and they continue posting the same type of content, I become increasingly less patient.
If it's been less than a year and it is clear that the user is only posting photos in an attempt to garner sexual attention, the post will likely be locked and removed.
(Note: If it's been more than a year since you were circumcised and you still want to share dick pics, try posting on a dedicated NSFW dick pic subreddit such as r/CutCocks.)
2.) Comments on Photos
Also, the sexualized comments need to stop. I'm getting increasingly annoyed with the number of creepy comments being made in response to post-op photos.
The people (correctly) posting photos to this subreddit are doing so to get feedback that everything is okay and that their penis isn't about to fall off; not to have random people try to hit on them in the comments. If you can't keep things educational and informative, don't comment.
There's a difference between being educational/informative and being sexual...
Acceptable:
Not Acceptable:
If you show a disregard for this rule, I'm probably going to ban you.
Essentially, it's usually fine to give feedback on the surgery itself (so long as you aren't being creepy by treating this as a fetish subreddit). It's not fine to give feedback on their penis as a sexual appendage.
Rule: Keep NSFW content to a minimum.
- This is an educational subreddit that is open to members of all ages.
- Only submit NSFW content that is reasonably necessary to illustrate a thread.
- Don't post NSFW content if you're a minor.
- If you were circumcised more than 1 year ago, we don't need to see your penis unless there’s some underlying question or concern.
- If you are considering circumcision, do not submit NSFW content to solicit ‘circ. style’ recommendations.
- Side-by-side before and after 'comparisons' are acceptable.
Rule: Don’t be overly sexual, seek sexual attention, or otherwise treat this as a ‘porn' subreddit.
- Don't submit content that is unnecessarily sexualized.
- Don’t submit threads with sexualized titles.
- Don’t reply to threads with sexualized comments.
- As a guideline: If your comment would get you fired or lead to disciplinary action if reported to the HR department of a typical work place, then don't say it here.
A full list of subreddit rules can be found in the sidebar and are also viewable on the rules page.
TL;DR:

I'm now day 5 of post op. The swelling has gone down a lot, hardly any pain. Although I think I've been peeing a lot more than normal and can't rlly hold it for too long. There's a weird bit on the top of the head which I'm a bit worried about and also directly under the head (check photos)

First of all, I can easily pull the foreskin down over the glans—I don't have phimosis—but when I have an erection, the skin doesn't retract fully; it stops about halfway down the glans. My main issue arises when I pull the skin all the way down and it stays there; I feel the glans swell and sense pressure from the bunched-up skin, as if it’s squeezing the area between the glans and the shaft. To get the skin back up, I have to constantly pull it upward in a motion that feels like reverse masturbation. I’ve looked into it, and it seems like a case of paraphimosis; do I need a circumcision or some other procedure?

How’s everything looking for nearly 3 weeks? I still have some swelling behind on the bottom side of the head as shown and some in the shaft. The urologist sounded happy with it but I’m still a bit self conscious about it.

I recently got circumcised and had a very large hematoma on the right side that had to get drained (though only partially for some reason) and restitched. I am 7 weeks out right now and what was once fluid around my shaft seems to have solidified (it stopped shrinking after week 2-3). I now have a lot of rubbery/firm mass on the right side of my penis, which keeps the incision line raised past the corona and bends my penis to the left constantly. I'm pretty worried it will stay that way, since I haven't seen any significant improvement since week 2 (when the liquid kind of became more firm).
I wanted to post here to see if anyone else had a hematoma after circumcision and if it developed into firm mass / lumps, and if that went away eventually. Any replies are greatly appreciated! Happy to DM as well.

Circumcised 6 months ago but I keep waking up at least 3 or 4 times a night with an erection. I haven’t slept properly in months. I have to get out of bed and walk about for it to go down. It’s not painful, just annoying. Should I go doctors?

My glans was completely exposed for three years. Is it normal that I can still feel it rubbing against on my underwear when I walk around? And how long will I feel it? Because going commando irritates me. Thanks!

Compared to not circumcised how does the head feel always being out. I’m not cut and my head is very sensitive when I pull the skin back

So I’m 5 days post pp and noticed my frenulum is looking a bit rough! Is this normal! The dorsal side is fine, because of swelling I can’t pull the skin down and have a look under the head! Also what type of circumscion would this be (I know it was Double Layer)

Day 4 post-op really worried if it’s infected.. I took preventatively prescribed antibiotics for the first 72 hours and don’t feel any warmth or bad smell but the yellow colour is really worrying - looks way worse with flash camera… is this normal/scabbing? (I put some polysporin/vaseline on a couple hours ago which maybe contributes to it looking more wet, I’ll try to see what it’s like tomorrow) I assume the swelling is normal considering how soon it’s been after the surgery but yeah still worried. Appreciate any help and support, thank you.

Hello, I’m about 20 days in, post circumcision and I’ve had bad phimosis all my life (couldn’t retract at all). Now the incision looks normal and pink, mainly healed, I just have these big edemas all around the glans, under it, and big aswell on the sides. They feel a bit tender to the touch and they don’t look infected or anything but is it normal still have them that big after almost 3 weeks? Like in these 3 weeks it only got just a little bit smaller and that was it, should I be concerned or is it a normal process? I’m a bit worried they might not go away, sorry if I sound unprofessional.

Thinking about getting my circ with a ZSR device.
Has anyone here gotten theirs with one of those? If yes:
1: how did you keep (nighttime) erections at bay?
2: how long did it take for the incision to seal? (not heal fully, but enough to not open and/or bleed anymore)
3: when did you return to moderate physical activity?
4: what did you do about swelling?

Hi, I’m a 19-year-old male. I had circumcision about 15 days ago because of phimosis.
Before the circumcision, my glans was usually covered, so now that it is exposed, it feels extremely sensitive/hypersensitive. I’m wondering about other people who had phimosis and experienced the same thing after circumcision.
How did you eventually get comfortable with masturbation or sex? Did the sensitivity change significantly over time? And approximately how long did it take for the hypersensitivity to settle down?
I’d really appreciate hearing about your personal experiences, especially what sex or masturbation felt like after the healing period compared with before circumcision.

It's been a year and this is what it looks like. I'm still kinda worried about the way it looks when soft. Is this normal? Anything I can do about it? I'm 18 BTW. Any comments on this would be appreciated! Thanks.
