I mean, unless their clock is literally wrong at counting down seconds the clock on screen started when the ball was snapped. 9 seconds ticked off and the ball was still in the air. Like where is this magic extra second? 9 seconds is 9 seconds.

Someone on discord actually said this "the clock actually read 9.9 seconds officially, and at the moment the ball went out of bounds the clock actually read .9 seconds not 0 seconds because the stadium clock doesn't show tenths of a second" OMG now that's some serious mental gymnastics.

Idk how that's possible when the refs asked for the clock to be set to 9 seconds before the play started after the spike. Again, 9 seconds is 9 seconds.

I agree, total bullshit. I mean, resetting the game clock to 9.0 seconds not 9.9 seconds, right ?

Yeah, last time I checked "9 seconds" means 9 seconds not 9.9 seconds.

I timed it, it was 8.31 seconds elapsed
