This is a very niche circumstance where I would be in favor of reversing the result of the game retroactively. There are no other variables at play. The game was over and an incorrect call extended it. WMU literally won lol

Yep. Other bad calls can’t definitively decide the outcome. You never know what would have happened differently after that call. But this was the end of the game. The game was over. One of the worst, most consequential calls I’ve ever seen in my life. Fire the refs. Into the sun.

With 0:00 on the clock and WMU in the lead, there's nothing speculative about it. Most times there's a legitimate "Who knows what may have happened after that..." But in this case, the game was over. No time left, WMU won. It's criminal if they don't overturn it.

I’m completely in favor of changing the results of a game in very specific and egregious examples. But they would need to meet a thorough criteria:

Call/lack of call occurs as regulation expires

Correct call can not extend the game (play in question is the definitive final play of the game if the correct call is made)

Correct call requires no subjective information (no judgement calls)

Has the NCAA ever reversed the results of a game? They've made teams vacate wins obviously, but I can't think of any instance of them doing that specifically.
