Straight. Up. Thievery.

Brother if I’m Western Michigan’s HC, I’m following the white hat to his car in a parade of profanity.

u/packofhusk Nebraska Cornhuskers 2d ago

The white hat and crew got the call right. It was overturned by a nameless faceless replay official

This review was all about the gambling houses and monumental losses they were about to incur! Everything in this world is fake and corrupt, it is Kayfabe.

Sportsbooks would have loved a Michigan straight up loss

Bullfuck!!!

lol do you understand how betting works?

Do you think there was a significant amount of money on Western Michigan to win straight up compared to Michigan? I’d be shocked if the money line handle was less than 90/10 on Michigan, and the result didn’t matter at all for agaisnt the spread or any teasers

They dont look at the cell phone replay on the field anymore in the B1G?

The refs on the field have no actual input on reviews. They just take whatever they get from the review booth.

Which is insane.

The NCAA should retroactively cancel the final play and end the game 12-7 in favor of WMU. The game was over and there were no other factors at play.

u/levajack Oregon Ducks 2d ago

This is one of the only times that they could easily overturn the result. There's no speculative "there's no way to know what might have happened" bullshit. It's cut and dry, the clock at 0:00 with WMU in the lead.

I’m not one to defend Texas and would have loved for that to be Colt McCoy’s lasting memory, but there was clearly a second left and no secret ref clock

u/StarvedRock314 Texas Longhorns • Red River Shootout 2d ago

At least in that game you can see the ball hit OOB before the clock hits 0. You can't even argue that was the case here.

Fuck you, but you're right...

u/lydiamoney Texas Longhorns • Red River Shootout 2d ago

That's because they don't understand that 1 and 0 are different numbers

The rules at the time did not allow for timing reviews. But yes there probably should have been time left.

Yes we would.
