Would like to see the owls offense show they have a capable passing game

Yeah we definitely caught a break there, that looked like URI got the stop on 4th down.

Incredible fucking home cooking for Temple right now from the officials. Abominable.
•

Agreed, but I’m sure the American conference doesn’t want a team losing to an FCS so the refs are gonna help however they can
•
u/Stoehrst Rhode Island Rams 2d ago
I mean I get it, I'm just very upset lol
•
u/RTWRW Temple Owls 2d ago
Totally understandable, you guys are playing a hell of a game and got fucked on that call

Again! No DPI! Egregious!
That said, I wonder what this game looks like if Devin Farrell isn't hurt. Budge had a good first half but he's not the difference-maker and pure talent that Farrell is. Devin's also more accurate on the deep ball.

I was hoping for 6-6 this season but at this point it looks like 2-10. The defense is just awful and the offense is completely out of sync.
And I still have no idea why the one good URI receiver keeps getting open.

Hey, don't disrespect Kwarteng like that!
Also the answer is that Marquis is actually that good, he's an excellent route-runner.

What the fuck are we doing? We cannot keep swapping QBs when the game is this close. Please just pick one QB and stick with him.

Man i like keeler but fuck this team looks like a step back from last year
•

I think Evan Simon was a big factor in last year's success tbh. The lack of QB experience is very obvious right now
•

I agree, but the QB isnt the only issue here.
I also think sheppard is a good replacement for simon, they ironically both came from rutgers

True. We look out of sync and just not game-ready.

Jojo looked amazingly composed on that return.
He might have a spot in the NFL as a return specialist if he does that enough times this year

Outside of that pick six, this defense has been horrific. URI isn't a bad FCS team, but their QB was bad against Merrimack and looks like Cam Newton today.
My optimism for this season is fading. At this point I'm expecting Penn State to hang 70 on us.

can’t watch sadly since I’m overseas but I’m already getting bad vibes…hopefully the boys give us a big 2nd half…
•

The offense stalling after the QB change didn’t help
•
u/Helreaver Temple Owls • Team Chaos 2d ago
Yeah, URI is too good to start experimenting this early. I hope they just keep riding the hot hand unless they manage to go up 3+ possessions.

At this point it is unclear to me why Temple is even trying to run the ball seeing as we can't cover the pass even remotely
•
u/huskycarrot751 Temple Owls 2d ago
Neither temple qb looks very comfortable throwing the ball
•
u/Stoehrst Rhode Island Rams 2d ago
Yeah they had it going for like the first two drives and then I sorta started to see the cracks.

Is anyone else getting automatically re-directed to the Wofford game when trying to watch this on ESPN+?

What is going on with the grass?
•
u/whalehunterwill Temple Owls 2d ago
I feel like they’re still playing on the leftover World Cup grass. Probably getting fresh grass before the first Eagles home game
