How do you feel about this trio?

Truthfully, I have some catching up to do when it comes to Detective Comics, but I'm curious about how everyone feels about how this trio dynamic is being written :)

Discussion Am I the only one who did not enjoy seeing how they made modern Black Canary into a musician of sorts…
I enjoy Black Canary and her strong ties to both the Justice League and the Justice Society. Like her mother should have been a member of the Justice Society like they did with the retcon of Wonder Woman and her mom. That way she can be an honorary member of the team in her adult years.
I just do not like how they have made modern Black Canary into a musician of sorts. I get that she can sing and has a powerful voice, but musician seems like a bit too much for a screaming heroine like her.
I like the original flower shop owner that she had back in the day. Simple and a bit straightforward at times. A reminder of the humble beginnings of the heroine in the making. Plus another street level experience of sorts.
Nothing more complicated like the running of a rock band.
Does anyone else feel that way about modern day Black Canary ?

Comics Black Canary in JLU #22 (Spoilers) Spoiler
So Dinah is now part of a small group inside the Justice League who are suspicious of the people who came back from the tournament. Admittedly, her reasoning feels like she's speaking a bit more for Mark Waid than something entirely in character (at least, the part about "Batman not being interested in villain rehab" feels like it could be more nuanced, though the part of her being like "they just told us this was happening without letting us speak up" is more on-point), but it seems like it's setting her up for a big role there now that her arc in Detective Comics is done. Looks like it's a group of 'little guy characters' (her, Ted Kord, Renee Montoya, Waid's two faves Air Wave and Doctor Occult, and Ray Palmer) being the ones who are going to investigate the visions everyone who came back from the tournament have had, how dictatorial they've become, and if there's something more sinister going on. So it looks like JLU will be the next book to feature BC in a regular role until a new BoP/GA/solo title comes along.

Discussion From time-to-time, the DC Comics Black Canary fandom likes to talk about Dinah's career as either a flower shop owner or a singer. However what about as a counselor? Did you like or dislike this change from Young Justice?
