Ok for driver to drive up bike lane and park here? (I was NOT driver).

Whenever I stop to catch a breath i spend several minutes just staring at my bike, admiring at how beautiful it is and all those rides we’ve spent together. Gets me emotional every time.

I no longer believe Velo Orange deliberately sold my data. At this point, an unintentional leak somewhere in the logistics chain seems like the most likely explanation.

A couple of months ago I bought two fenders directly from the Velo Orange webshop. For that purchase I created a dedicated e-mail alias (velo-orange@mypersonaldomain.com), which I have never used in any other store or on any other website.

Since August 12 of this year, I've received three obvious spam e-mails sent to this very specific address. Since the alias exists nowhere else, isn't listed anywhere, and VO haven't communicated anything about a breach, the only reasonable conclusion is that Velo Orange passed my personal data on to a data broker.

I doubt this is an isolated case, so please check your spam folders for e-mails from "Lotus Consults" or "AHA! Solar". If you find one, chances are your data was passed on by Velo Orange as well.

I have always wondered, what goes around within a body to be able to balance itself on 1 or 2 wheels? is that all about muscle memory? that dictates how to keep from falling down or is it something else?

is the same for any physical skills? like a backflip or a handstand? What's the science behind this?

For a month Ive been running a Haro Thread One after nearly 13 years of not riding. Stupid steep hills, mud, gravel, stone, dirt. Havent fallen. Got a Kona Fire Dome yesterday, decided I would hit twenty miles today.

With about two to three miles left I took a not steep grade at speed and the rear tire slipped on loose stone and failed to regain grip. I didnt hurt myself, tucked as soon I realized I was going down and slid a bit.

Broke the bike in, need aggressive tires. But hey! I hit my twenty miles! Next goal is thirty.

I've never seen a puncture like this before. I was riding on a seemingly clean road and all of a sudden my rear tire just blew out. I looked around for a while and I didn't see anything that looks like it could have caused this.

Has anyone seen something similar?

Hi all, I have Teravail Washburn tires set up tubeless professionally, from a super reputable bike shop. I've been riding on these tires for at least 6 months with no issue. I usually run close to the max PSI for the tire, which is 50. I'm out here riding down the Oregon coast, which is a ghost town for bike shops. I of course carry a kit with tools, extra sealant and extra tube, etc. First day of 50 miles, no issues. Then today with my bike unloaded at camp, I'm just casually slowly biking on a local road near the camp, and the front tire just BOOM! Jumps off the rim. It was very loud. I couldn't see anything in the road that caused it. I got it back to camp and cleaned out the tire, and tried to get the tire seated, but no luck. I have a mini compressor that I carry on the bike, but it's not strong enough. So instead I put a tube in there, so I'm seemingly good to go.

The big question: is it still safe to ride on this tire? The tire is barely 6 months old and I see no visible signs of distress. I was going so slow I caught it within a second and it didn't seemingly harm the rim, there is a couple of little scratches from where it hit the road, but it looks almost completely perfect. I went around and wiped all of the beads clean, and pulled off any crusty old sealant. I inspected the tire closely and I can't see anything that looks out of the ordinary. In the process of trying to reseat the tire, I was looking very intently at the bead the entire time, looks good as far as I can tell. Are there any concerns that this tire is compromised? I've always run tires at their Max and never had an issue but now I'm reading that you shouldn't run it at the max, because of this exact issue.

Thank you for your help! I could in theory hop a ride down to a bigger town that has a bike shop and get a new tire just to be safe, but I'd really rather just continue on with my ride as planned if this tire is good to go.

I like the sound of a bike bell that has the interior centrifugal hammer system, that makes that classic trill sound. It's pleasant, not piercing, and just feels more friendly and less "gtfo of my way" than a simple bell design.

I've tried a couple, including the "Schwinn classic bike bell," but they have the same annoyance: they ring quietly on the slightest bumps, and constantly on gravel. It seems this could be solved e.g. with e.g. some system to pull the interior hammers (in the case of the schwinn, bolt washers) inward with a small force that must be defeated to ring the bell.

Does this product exist? Am I the only one who cares? Thanks.

I bought my first bike since I was like 10 and I'm looking for a saddle. I ride a 15 inch frame bike and am a pretty small adult (under 5ft)

Looking for something that will be comfortable both on the street and through trails. My bike is a Nishiki Colorado youth mountain bike.

Id like to stay under $50 because I've already invested a lot but if there's a good reason to spend more I may be convinced!

Hello. Fairly new to cycling. Just wanted to hear other peoples experiences bc deep down I know its probs my mistake.

I commute to work on my bicycle, usually wearing skirts and dresses so my legs are exposed. When I come to a stop, I keep putting my left leg behind the pedal and hit myself with it. My left leg is full of bruises they look awful.

I guess my question is, how do you guys stop, wait and go? Without hitting yourself. I know its a stupid question, but I genuinely dont know. I feel like if I put my left leg in front of the pedal, I'm gonna lose my balance, fall or just not be ready to go. And if I do put it in the front I still manage to hit my leg with the pedal but this way the back of the leg. Maybe its the clothes? I also have a hard time starting to cycle if my right pedal is not "up" .
