There actually are a very small percentage of people who truly need far less sleep than normal, but the test is how long you sleep when you don't set an alarm for several mornings in a row. If you actually wake up fully rested without an alarm after 4 hour or 6 hours and you manage to do that several times in a row, then yes, you really only need that much.
That being said, I had a nephew who was convinced he could do this Nikkola Tesla, couple of power naps per day thing. He absolutely struggled. I assume he did not keep it up.

People who really believe you can function long term on a couple power naps a day are just ignorant about science and the human body.
