Gym bros, what sacred knowledge of getting Gains do you swear by and will always recommend?

Progress is made by doing the boring stuff consistently over time. I think a lot of people who are in the planning stage of getting to the gym are watching feats of strength and flashy, advanced workouts by content creators on social media and they think they need to do that. A basic weightlifting program like 531 for Beginners is all you need to see gains.

Obviously this is on top of adequate rest and nutrition, which should be prioritized over getting a workout in.

Yea, you see the 1 rep maxes, but not the months and years of boring rep work.
