u/Test-Fickle 2h ago
try 26.3.1 have zero issues on 7800xt
and go to the tuning tab, look for the max frequency in stock then go check what u`rs on the brand site, i have noticed that there was higher then must be. Made some tunning (max 2480 and Voltage 1125)

u/Accurate-Character54 2h ago
Anecdotal but I constantly crashed with FSR on. Try switching to XeSS instead.

My 4070 crashing, friend pc with 4090 keep crashing too. We have tried so many tricks …
•
u/SERTExRo 6h ago
Man i just solve this shit, i use only drive on install and radeon tuner for settings, fixed all this pop ups got like 5-6 more fps and more stability then ever, off core isolation and off smart app control. I have an 7900xtx and 7800x3d
•
u/Such-Highlight-8499 5h ago
What’d you set in tuner?
•
u/SERTExRo 4h ago
I turned on fsr override, my fan curves and amd antilag this is all i need but u can use all the settings if u want.
•
u/SERTExRo 6h ago
Forgot to add, that popup is from the amd adrenalin software not the driver, the stupid thing reeds the wrong stuff and then this message shows
•
u/Game-Meista 8h ago
I got a simmilar Problem with my rx7900xt. Just use an older Graphics driver Version. For my 7900xt I got me the Adrenalin 26.3.1 and now its Working again.
•
u/lovesponge00 8h ago
Update everything: bios, gpu driver, windows updates.
Make sure you close windows auto updating gpu drivers, you can find how to do it, i dont recall atm.
Most important part: disable everything in settings from adrenalin app, and choose "use application settings" wherever its possible. Antialasing, tesselation mode etc... everything should be on "use application settings".
Lastly if you undervolted, or increased your ram timings, they can cause driver crashes. Reducing them may help.
•
u/Deadluss 7h ago
Update everything: gpu driver
Literally worst advice for AMD GPU user, you do the opposite... You downgrade your gpu driver
•
u/lovesponge00 5h ago
Drivers are not the issue with battlefield man. I have been playing it from the release. I always kept it updated. My issues stopped after closing every dogshit settings adrenalin overrides(other than fsr 4 driver override which i dont use it anyway)
•
u/Deadluss 5h ago
Idk I had problem with newest driver, I downgraded to 26.2.2 and it works perfectly now.
•
u/digitalsmoker 8h ago
Yeah welcome to the club biddy! U either need to change the game u playin or change the gpu to nvidia, or you can try fixing it yourself, probably wasted time, if it will ever work it will be only temporary, issues will be back randomly as long as u use radeon on windows
•
u/MrMasters87 10h ago
Did you download the new drivers 26.9.1? This stopped all time out issues that I've been having the last two months with my 7900xtx.

I have a 7900xtx and the same cpu , I believe It was the amd drivers messing and forcing a way to high clock constantly and the game really likes a stable gpu so I forced it to only be my gpus max boost clocks AMD Adrenalin- Gaming > BF6>Tuning>Custom>GPU tuning and advanced control enabled , set to your gpu max boost or base clock I just did my max which was 2680 . I found it was forcing 2900 and crashing to hang. I played at 1440p 165+ , I havent played in a month so hope this helps you. To find your gpus clocks just check the box or the website specs

When I had bf6 issues, I used the "chill mode" to cap my fps, and that solved most of my bf6 crashes. Doesn't work with all games (or at all with a handful of them) but it worked for bf6 for me.

This bug is just shitting me to tears I’ve got it down to now re-enable hardware to fix it as it just now randomly turns off video card I’ve just accepted now this is my new life. Not worth going over to nvidia

I have a 9070xt, but I kept crashing in Bf6. The game would basically turn off my graphics card and I would have to reboot the computer (because my screens went off), enable the card again in Device Manager, and restart computer again. The solution was downgrade to graphics driver 26.3.1 any higher version than that caused my crashes. Hope they fix this soon.
•
u/MistaSkizzem 16h ago
I use windows 10, haven't gotten updates since they stopped supporting it, so it's just a Bf6 problem
•
u/Perfect_Jicama_8023 8h ago
Thats not a BF6 problem, neither its windows problem. Thats AMD sh*tty drivers
•
u/MistaSkizzem 3h ago
Sure, but I didn't have that issue until the Wake Island BF6 update. Then I had to rollback almost a years worth of driver updates to get to the version that doesn't crash... With just bf6 specifically

If U arent thermal throttling, then u have unstable UV/OC in cpu, or unstable RAM xmp or timings tweaks.
Obviously discarding the oc to the gpu because you must leave it by default as a first step to isolate the culprit.

I had issues with timeouts the same day I got the 7800xt, what fixed it in my case was following this guide: https://www.reddit.com/r/battlefield_4/comments/1xzzn4/tdrdelay_10_fixed_my_crashes_since_last_patch/
I know it says it only works for win 7/8/8.1, but it worked for windows 10 and now 11 in my case, it's just not a fix for every gpu sadly (might not work randomly)
essentially, windows thinks the gpu has locked up cause it hasn't recieved a response in 2 seconds from the gpu, despite the gpu still rendering new frames from the cpu, so it triggers a timeout. the guide just leads you through changing that 2 second delay to a 10 second delay in regedit (I know this can be scary for some people, but the only possible repercussion of doing this is that your pc will remain frozen for 10 seconds in the case it actually does crash.

Apparently you're not alone, happened to me, basically Starfield wouldn't load for me, nor FF7 Rebirth after updating to 26.8.1; not sure who this content creator is but he came up with a work around for it happening on his system. I rolled back to 26.7.1 but I was going to try the newer drivers and see if this crashing issues continued, if so then attempt this fix myself, so thought I'd share this link and hopefully it helps https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XVYakpjbQ1Y
•
u/Dense_Adagio_745 17h ago
What fixed this stuff for me was turning off hardware accelerated gpu scheduling in windows settings. I havent noticed any other difference besides the lack of driver crashes.
•
u/Spacecruiser96 18h ago
This might help you
If you have 26.8.1 drivers and play on DX12. Change them to either the preview/beta 26.9.1 or go back to 26.7.X
•
u/charcoalonfire 18h ago
26.9.1 fixes the dx12 issue? As for a certain game I played 26.7.1 crashes it and for another game I cannot play in dx12 on 26.8.1
•
u/Gold_Goal7557 18h ago
Normal Radeon gamer experience, hit report issue nag them until they fix or accept the fact that the game will never be playable, if it was my favorite game i be sending least 1 bug report every day to remind them how broken it is.
Also 1 bug report within the game it self if able to or their forums.

•
u/Active-Natural2217 18h ago
i have 7800xt aswell and the only solution is to rollback to older versions. new drivers and windows 10 (if u use it) dont work together. also amd drivers in general suck ass even if people say they are fixed nowadays

u/tex2934 19h ago
Do you have opera Gx or a browser open at the same time? I was getting this all the time and then I turned off hardware acceleration on the browser and it fixed my issues
•
u/Omar_Moh___ 19h ago
No just google chrome and YT tap listening to podcasts
•
u/tex2934 19h ago
Check and see if your Chrome is using hardware acceleration.
Also highly recommend not using chrome, it’s a giant sucker for your ram
•
u/hunter503 19h ago
100 percent the hardware acceleration, I was having this issue when opening firefox my PC would restart itself. Turned it off in ff and havent had an issue since.
•
u/Hot_Coffee_Enema_ AMD 19h ago
Try setting max clock speed of your GPU to the stock speeds of a reference card. Had to do it with my 7900 xtx. Adrenaline defaults to over 3000mhz but my card is stable at 2500mhz
•
u/Dense_Adagio_745 17h ago
Turn off HAGS in windows settings and put it back to stock speeds to see if it happens again. Fixed it for me 🤷♂️
•
u/Omar_Moh___ 19h ago
Gonna try it but I'm afraid to burn the gpu i never played with gpu settings before still at factory settings
•
u/Hot_Coffee_Enema_ AMD 18h ago edited 18h ago
essentially you're lowering the clock speed to what it should be (and is more stable at), rather than the higher stock settings in adrenaline (which can be unstable). you can't burn anything doing this..
This is only if you check adrenaline and the setting is at, let's say, 2800mhz. The max boost clock on a 7800 xt is 2430mhz. Set it to 2430mhz and see if it still crashes.
I've noticed that when my clock speeds boost way above the stated max boost clock of 2500mhz, it will most likely crash. My adrenaline keeps putting the stock max clock speed to 3100mhz, which is unstable for me.

When you switch drivers are you deleting old ones with ddu? I didn’t at first and after I have had no issues with 26.6.2
Have Ryzen 5 7600 with 7800xt
•
u/Omar_Moh___ 19h ago
,ddu is my best friend right now my friend Use it evey months when drivers start behave badly
•
•
u/NextWafer2667 20h ago
I've had issues with this game on my RX 7600 since launch, on and off. Currently it's stable and it was most likely the fact that I set max clock speed to 2700MHz. Try disabling FSR, FrameGen, AntiLag.
Does your GPU model have factory OC? Try lower it bit by bit(like 50MHz at a time) until it's stable.
•
•
u/triggerftu 20h ago
So alternatively you could try the pro drivers. They are stable.
•
u/Omar_Moh___ 20h ago
Excuse me sir what is pro drivers i never heard about them
•
u/triggerftu 19h ago
Look into the hip sdk. Should have a link for that and the pro drivers. They are stable and generally for enterprise systems and have AMD ROCm (and’s version of cuda). But they are so much more. Here’s a link for you.

That the one I'm using lol 😆 the problem is I use it and was fine for month then overlay just got disappeared form amd software then crashing crashing
I just downloaded 27.8.1
•
u/Still-Strength-6349 20h ago
I think its a Windows driver issue. I followed this to turn off the automatic updates. Once I did this I wiped drivers then reinstalled with Adrenalin. No issues since. It was happening a lot before..
"To turn off automatic updates in Windows 11, open the Run dialog by pressing Windows key + R, type
services.msc, and press Enter. Then, find "Windows Update," right-click it, select Properties, set the Startup type to Disabled, and click Apply."•

Thing is brother, just because your experience is fine, doesn’t mean others aren’t. The anecdotal “skill issue” bs is getting old.
•
u/NextWafer2667 20h ago
I've been playing the game since open beta and I frequent r/Battlefield
GPU crashes in this game have been common for both AMD and Nvidia users since the game launched.

People in r/Battlefield regularly complaining that their RTX 5000 series GPUs are crashing in BF6 but I guess that's not a thing, if you say so.
5 day old account with negative karma and you're accusing me of being a shill? That's funny.

My plan was 4070ti super i think that was February 2025 but my brother in law siad to
amd are better gpu more powerful raw preference cheaper back then i was own gtx 1070 and got broken i bought in 2019 time i switched to pc from 2019 to 2025 never got single crash i didn't know about amd issues My mistakes it's mine mistakes
•
u/Embarrassed_Volume15 20h ago
•
u/Omar_Moh___ 20h ago
I'm gonna go with 5080 it cost 2000usd or 5070ti cost 1300usd just for peace of mind
•
u/Embarrassed_Volume15 20h ago
Prend la 5070ti elle te suffira amplement. La 5080 est beaucoup trop chère comparé à ce qu’elle propose et de toute manière je ne sais pas à quel jeu tu joues et si tu joues en 4k, mais elle est clairement overkill
•
u/Omar_Moh___ 20h ago
Most the time battlefield but now playing single player aaa games sometimes jumps to play squad
My monitor is 1080p 240hz but gonna upgrade to 2k oled very soon
•
u/Dismal_Tell4651 20h ago
I would suggest using AMD clean up utility in safe mode, trying 26.3.1 Driver only
Then do not install adrenaline, try Radeon tuner (there is a guide on GitHub, you will need 2 other Microsoft programs)
Make sure you have upgraded to the latest chipset as well to match your motherboard
Also, check your GPU wires and connections from a hardware stand point
This all worked for me after 3 weeks of timeouts
Good luck
•
u/COWANDCHICKENN 20h ago
holy moly I’m glad I didn’t buy a 9070 lol
•
u/Dismal_Tell4651 19h ago
It’s been absolutely fine for 2 years, I think the main issue was my GPU cable but yeah, was an annoying
