Epic need to review its blacklist policy - if it was possible, considering how many shit are happening worldwide due to age restrictions, platform controls, censorship and all these sort of things...
The same game that can't be even found there in some regions can be accessed without any juggling in the competing services. For this one it's even dirty cheap RN (for anyone interested, Steam offer also will be available till 10th september, as the Epic free one).

Every week there's a game blocked in Brazil but another up for grabs, but this is the first time where I can't claim a single game this week. It sucks ;_;
It's strange that it isn't available in Germany. The developer went through the hassle to add the necessary rating to Steam (it's available in Germany there rated 16+), but apparently didn't really give a fuck about EGS.
The issue here I feel like is it's a per platform thingy since steam, EGS, etc are all different business entities hence they're granting publishers the rating registration per store front basis.
What might solves this, if they introduce some kind of unified registration system where publishers just have to register themselves once.
Also, let's say they publish their game on steam and wanna publish later on a different store front let's say GOG, then they should have to toggle/check option to instantly add GOG as their list of store front.
But this is just my way of thinking. There could be multiple complexities that I'm probably unaware of😅
The bureaucracy will want you to ascertain - with costly fees and additionally preferably by - again - costly certificates from shady third parties, if possible - that the submission you made once for one platform is byte-identical to the ones you make to the other platforms as well - of course, every single time, why not? You could be introducing malicious code or something ...
an anniversary update is coming this month, so might want to hold off a bit. though I'm very much in the minority of actually playing the freebies I grab.
I'm personally a lot more likely to play them now that I've discovered how easy it is to use Heroic Launcher on my Steam Deck. The Linux community deadass put together a program that downloads Epic, GOG, and Amazon games, automatically applies the correct Linux stuff, and can automatically add links to these games to Steam.
Got a whole Remnant: From the Ashes playthrough going right now. Saves me the $15 of getting this month's Humble Choice.
If you see region restricted games you can try to contact the developer/publisher. In most cases it is due to an age rating form that they have to fill out.
I contacted this developer but haven't got a reply yet. Maybe you can try too.

It's on sale on Steam for 97 Cents right now and available in Germany, so the developer already went through all the rating stuff once. It's a bit puzzling why he didn't do it for EGS.
